hey i tried ur eye to avi convertr n everytime its the same error it says on windows XP platform that the program has encountered an eroor n that i specified the incorrect file or i speciifed the .EAR file whereas i did specify the .EYE file what do i do now
Several things to try:
1. Put both EYE and EAR files into the C:\EYECON directory and convert from there.
2. Use the command line tool.
3. Manually set up the program via the following procedures:
- Right click on NUB.INF and choose "Install" from the popup menu
- In command prompt, type:
regsvr32 c:\eyecon\nubsrc.ax
I hope this works for you.

Not sure if I understand your problem... but I guess you cannot get into the video album any more? If that's case, you should download the excellent freeware Fexplorer, and navigate to the C:\Videos directory on your phone. Move some of the .EYE files out of the directory and try again. This is a known bug that when certain EYE files get corrupted the "My Video" application stalls. I hope this helps.

No problem 😊 The suggestions are good and you can expect to see them implemented in the release version. As for the pc conversion tool it does generate compressed AVI file and the size should only be slightly larger than the EYE file.

so i was able to convert my video clip to .avi, the problem is that it plays upside down! i know for sure that i wasn't holding my nokia3650 upside down when i was recording. i thought it might have to relate to my computer not recognizing setup.bat. i kept getting "bad file name or unrecognized file name" in the DOS after i typed in d:\eyecon> setup.bat .
OS windows98; Windows Media Player version 9.00.00.2980
i know that i should probably upgrade my OS, but any ideas why this is happening? :-?

i converted successfully on a different PC (win98 OS) using a suggestion you gave to user cyrustahir yesterday. i just moved the .eye & .ear files into the Eyecon dir. and converted from there. I'll try this on my home PC later tonight, and see if that solves the problem of upside down videos.
does anybody else have this problem? i've tried using the latest versions of windows media player & real one player on my win98 OS pc and they both play my converted videos upside down!
please help!
i'll try changing the color bit as you suggested to someone else in another post. hopefully that works.

@dfdzgz
Can you tell anything about possible or future capture resolutions?
Currently the videos are recorded 128x96 pixel with ETI. Other applications allow 160x120 pixel.

Yes that resolution will be supported in the release version.

I'd love to give you a firm date but I can't. Definitely before the beta expires though 😉
I guys and sorry for the bad english. While i record a video (815seconds or more)the prog gives an error and go out. After i go to my videos and i cant see what i have recorded. What's the problem?(the video is recorded without sound and in the worst resolution)thanks

well all the .eye files have exactly the same file and name but with extension .ear... so i dont think that is the problem
See what happens if you copy both EYE and EAR files into the C:\EYECON directory and convert from there?
I had already put both EYE and EAR files into the C:\EYECOM directory but still can not process, do you any idea?
during playback of a video, I would like to be able to pause and re-start the video from when I last paused from. the beta version re-starts the video from the beginning after un-pausing.
i'm trying to evaluate my golf swing using the camcorder and it's difficult to find what I'm doing wrong when the video re-starts after every pause. 😉

You can use the joystick to pause/resume. The menu is for stop/start.
is the final version out yet? if so where can we buy it? 😊
ok, Im lost with this converter thing.
Ive tryed installing it in c:\Eye con and then i copy the eye and ear in to the c:\
but when i open the converter and click browse the only file that there is the eye. the ear is not there. then when i browes for a places to save the avi file it won't let me chose a file it opens the folders then it get to save and won't do anything. just blinks when i hit the save button.
I've tryed typeing the file in the box but then i get that error about no eye found when i hit convert.
the thing is when i'm trying to browse for a place to save the converted file. if i click on the drop down box it shows me a list of all my avi files. if i slect one of them it will ask it i want to over right it. i clicked yes once but it still wouldn't do it.
help me please I'm about to give up on this thing. i've install and unintsalled it 3 times and download it from differnt places.
the program is great on the phone but i would love to play it on my pc.
i recored a friend of mine winning a pool turnament and he want me to sent him the video but i can't get it to play.
thanks and i will be getting this program if i can get it to work. the stock one is just not long enough to make it worth using

Please follow the steps below to verify the installation of the codec:
1. Locate the file NUB.INF at the directory C:\EYECON\
2. Right-click on the file and choose "Install" from the popup menu
3. When prompted click "Continue" to allow the installation of the codec
Now, to get the conversion to work you need to register the HCNUBSRC.AX file. To do this, open command prompt and navigate to the C:\EYECON\ directory with the following commands:
C:
CD C:\EYECON\
Once there, type the following command to register the file:
regsvr32 hcnubsrc.ax
To test the installation, copy an EYE file (don't forget to also copy the
EAR file) into the C:\EYECON\ directory, and at the command prompt type
(assuming the file names are 1.eye and 1.ear):
eyecon 1.eye 1.avi
When this completes you should now have a 1.avi file in your C:\EYECON\
directory and can be viewed in media player. You should now also be able to use the EyeConGui.exe program which gives you a more friendly GUI interface if command line is too difficult.
I hope this helps
ok i got all the way up to typing eyecon 5.eye 5.avi
tryed 5.eye 1.avi too but it did the same thing
also my eye&ear files are named Video(5)eye and Video(5)ear not sure if that makes a diff
but when i typed etecon 5.eye 5.avi i got a error message saying eyecon.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close
and wants to send microsoft a report
but it seemed to be working up till there i typed in regsvr32 hcnubsrc.ax and it register the files and i installed the nub.inf file
so i thought i was onto something
hey guys you all talked like you all have the final version of the camcorder? is it out already? :-?
I sometimes have a problem with when after having paused, i resume recording but then the sound stops recording. 😞 Has anyone else also encountered this problem?
ok i got all the way up to typing eyecon 5.eye 5.avi

I believe the format of the command line is -
eyecon inputfile outputfile
where 'inputfile' is the name of your eye file and 'outputfile' is the avi file that you want to create.
SO if your eye file is called 'Video(5)eye' (are you sure it's not 'Video(5).eye' ?) then the command should be
eyecon Video(5)eye Video(5).avi
Note: 'outputfile' can be anything you want, this is the name of the avi file that eyecon will create for you.
hey it works
now i have to go read some post about why its upsidedown and wasn't it goint to look better then the build in recorder. the color is not right on mine.
but at least i'm getting there
thanks
ok one more question
how do you guys send vidoes back to your phone.
when i do it, it will only play the video cause the sound is in a nother file.
and after i converted it to a .avi file if wouldn't play on the phone i'm guessing it the formate that it can't play
