Again.. it happend. I had lots of free memory... Lots of free diskspace, still my contacts just dissapear. The dB file is gone.

I thought this was fixed, but i guess not.. SE get this fixed!!

Well, again i have to restore my phone, then edit like 50 numbers with voice commands etc. This is just not good enough.

Anyone have a solution to this.. How to prevent loss of dB file Contacts?

:-? Hmmmm... thats really weird... i havent got this kinda probs before... or maybe... u accidentally sync your contacts with your outlook???

Nope, all was ok, then all was gone.. As i switched between sms and contacts. This is a known problem, i'm just suppriced that it still wasn't fixed in the new upgrade.

Known problem? I've never experienced it using a P800 for 5 months, nor have I ever seen it mentioned before...

If a format doesn't fix this, you might need to get it replaced.

Also try checking if you have any contacts on your SIM card that doesn't match the ones in the phone memory, as that may cause some problems.

if u upgradge on p800 always restart your mobile ever time u up gradge for safe way :P

Silly question, you haven't filed the contacts (business/personal etc) and then selected unfiled have you. I know it sound obvious, but y'never know )

Well, my contact file contacts.db.. just with out any reason evaporated. Size was 280k, now 6k.. So what is going on. I think it may be voice commands. When i restore all get back to original but the voice commands. They are gone. Seams like SE have a problem there. Else i want to point out this. The contacts was ok when i switched on the phone. The time between that and until they all was gone, the phone was never attached to my computer.. As in backup restore or sync.

Yesterday I installed the Handy Day 3.0.. Everything was fine all the contacts were there. This morning, I went to make a call and tapped the contacts icon and I saw "not enough memory" and the contacts app died.

I had to do a master reset and re-install everything to fix this..

blech! REALLY SUCKS!

That does sound weird.. I wonder if the problem is related to other program installations. It would be nice if SE implemented a rollback/recovery feature. However, I doubt it being that the required partition space would probably be half that the phone has.
