I need a lil help on the settings with Cingular. They wont tell you how to set up your phone if you didnt buy it from them! i have a 3650 and i want to browse the web on it. if anyone knows the settings please help me out! thanks! PEACE

That sounds really strange behaviour from an operator. I should imagine that they'd love any new data traffic users (more billing for them).

Perhaps you can find another person at Cingular that understand better what their business goals are?

nah! everytime i call them they re-direct me to someone else who doesnt have a clue to what they're doing. they always ask too, "did you get that phone from us?". and i say no and then they start giving me the run around. but i think i got it figured out now though! thanks to this forum.

Just say "Yes, I did"

tried that. then they just say that it should be configured right already. then i said no then they said to bring it to a local cingular store. but dont trip coz i got the settings down now

Man when I lived in California I had so many issues with Cingular. The only good thing they had were some awesome techs at one of the stores. I had an 8890 at that time and kept dropping it, etc. And they kept fixing it.... that is until my friend who weighs 110 kilos stepped on it.

Could you share those settings with the rest of us?
