Hi,

I've just received an email from the Traffic-i guys to say that their service is now available for the 3650.

Phil

It's live traffic information on your mobile phone , was only available on Sony Ericsson P800 until now.

www.traffic-i.com

I have it on the 7650, fantastic app if you are in the UK and drive

I just bought it on the 3650. used to use the 1200 service (60p a min  )

but this is far better in my opinion..

It's only available in the UK. I quote: "Yes, Traffic-i is currently only available in the UK, but we are continually expanding our service and plan to launch Traffic-i in other countries as soon as possible."

anyone that has used it explain what you get ? The website isnt very helpful in that respect- does it contain a map of the Uk then , and then gets updated with traffic info ? Or does it download a small map according to where you are ?

The maps come as part of the application, and display the complete motorway network and all major trunk roads.

you have 5 levels of zoom and can see motorway junctions, service stations, towns and rivers.

when you connect to the service the traffic is then overlayed on the map giving you live accurate information on the traffic. And becauuse it's only the traffic information downloaded there is hardly any data transmitted.

you can also bookmark upto 5 favourite locations that can simply be recalled to save you scrolling.

and if you connect through bluetooth while at work it costs nothing to check the traffic 😃 ideal if you want to avoid the jams on the way home.

I bought this recently for my 3650, after seeing it in What Mobile, and I've got to say i am impressed, it's got to be the best bit of software around for the 3650.

Good luck to the company that produced this, lets hope they start letting us know where the speed cameras are next 😉

You guys in the UK get the cooles bits of software around, well at least in Europe. UK has to be the most "mobile" place besides Asia. Here in Moscow we get all the sweet phones because they are "fashionable" but the usage of them is not much since the network services are about a year or more behind what they are worldwide.

Haha, I feel sorry for people who has to live in such crowded places that they need apps like i Traffic-i! 😉 My only concern when driving car is how many rein-deers there are on the road, hehe! (Off-topic I know, but I couldn't resist to post 😃 )

I though you guys in Sweden have moose on the road, not reindeer... Wasn't that your famouse Moose-test that embarrased Mercedes-Benz a few years back?

Hehe, we have lots of moose too, but up here in the north if Sweden it is the rein-deers you see as they often walk on or besides the road. Moose are more shy and stay in the forrest until they decide to pass the road by running at 50km/h 😉

Your right, probably better to move to a less crowded place ! but somewhere warm not cold .

But for all those who live in the crowded UK, and drive this is the application to have.
