Hi Folks, people seem to have varying problems while trying to Connect thier 3650's to pc suite via Bluetooth (BT).
This is my strain of the problem,
I have a Bluetake Poke2 bt900 usb dongle. I can upload things to the phone using the ftp software that comes with the dongle, and i can send pics, vids to my PC via Bt no problem as all.
The problem lies with mRouter/PC suite
mRouter only shows 1 avalable means of contacting, an IR connection which does not exist (i do not and never have owned an IR device) if you select it, it says it's already in use? thus i cannot get pc suit to work.
I'm sure your sick of people asking, but if anyone can help.. 😃
Thanks in advance,
James.
mine has an "ir" com port that I found to be my modem... yours should have a whole bunch of different ports, though.... I have 10 BT ports.... sorry I can't help
mRouter should have a bluetooth connection. Did you try connecting your bluetooth in "my bluetooth places"? Connect the Bluetooth Serial connection there.
What is my bluetooth places? What software creates such a thing or where is that found... thanks.

I'm with Kirill... where are the elusive "My Bluetooth Places" ???
I'm running a Sony Vaio + XP Pro + Bluespace (standard) and have a Nokia 3650 that I can send files FROM to my PC via bluetooth... but it refuses to be seen in mRouter... and I cannot find anywhere on the PC to set up vitual bluetooth ports... though a quick scan through Device Manager (mangler?) shows the presence of a Virtual Bluetooth port on Com4... (and no mRouter won't connect to this either -(... )
Modern technology... 'ain't it wonderful!
If mRouter is not showing any of your BT com ports then you have the same problem as me - the latest version of mRouterSerial.dll is fuc#ed.
You need to revert back to an older one, that's what I did, then when you open mRouter you will see all your com ports - tick them all to begin with and watch and wait for a connection - if you still see no connection then try connection to serial device from within 'my bluetooth places' as described, you may still get an error message but watch and wait and mRouter should come to life..
There is a much better explanation to all this over on the 7650 forums, pop over there and do a search for mRouterSerial.dll
I have uploaded the file - I have done it in a rush but I think it's the version you need - close down mRouter on you PC then search for this file and replace it with the one attached and reboot.
Best 😊

If your BT dongle's software was properly installed, you will have a "My Bluetooth Places" icon appearing in windows explorer. It's sort of like "My Internet Places", or "Local Area" soemthing (My windows distribution is in portuguese, so I don't remember well). Anyway, If you install the software, that should appear... After that, (and after you pair your computer with your cell phone), there's a "3650 serial port connection" icon present inside the "3650", in "my bt places"... maybe you should check the cd that came with the BT dongle... don't just install the drivers... install the whole software!!
Hey Will, thanks for the tip on mRouter and taking the trouble to (re) post it here... I tried it...
Stopped [MrouterRuntime] process using Task Manager and then copied the file over... rebooted PC... checked file dates/times/version and the older (309) version you supplied was indeed in the Intuwave shared directory...
...crossed my fingers and went to mRouter on the task bar and... -( still no connection... so still stuck.
I'm interloping here slightly as I am using a Vaio and not the BT bluetooth hardware... but this seems like a cross-platform problem... I think we're so close to sorting this out... but... -(
I downloaded the above .dll file.
I searched my HD for the existing .dll file...
Nowhere to be found?
where is the file supposed to be/go??
