To all who bought a Nokia 3650...

First of all i'd like to say that the phone is very nice and a great alternative to the p800 or any of the other 600 $ usd phones out there.

I have a few concerns though. After inspecting the Menu I found that there are some features I am missing according to my manual and nokia's website. One feature is the File Browser and another is call forwarding. I called nokia and they said that a firmware update will be released soon to address the call forwarding issue. He also said that the file browser might have been removed on purpose ( via the service provider...im my case tmobile) to keep from nosing around in the OS.

The current firmware i have to 2.54 and it is dated march 2003. My question is does anyone have a similar experience? Anyone have a newer firmware then I? Thanks for any help.

I also have 2.50 still.

Regarding the file browser... there are free apps available for that... ex. File explorer.

Anyone had any luck with the bluetooth feature...which unit did you buy? I hear some people are having major issues with it.

I have FW 2.50 and have Call Forwarding in mine. As far as File Browsing I have freeware File Explorer.

Hi,

Ive got 2.50 and Ive got Call Forwarding as well. I dont know if the Nokia
Web site for 3650 mentions a File browser. Nor does the manual. Perhaps
you mistake it for the Browser (Under Services) ... ?

Bluetooth works fine too,

www.nokiahowto.com mentions the file browser for the 3650. My phone is unlocked and did not come from T-Mobile. When I called Nokia they said that the new service pack 3 which is f/w version 3.11 should fix that.

Following Darla's link, i found a chapter on MMC.
It showed a Nokia branded 64 MB MMC.
My phone came with a No-Name 16MB MMC.
Do any of you have this difference ?

The 16mb MMC that was with the phone is not made by nokia. Anyway, most MMC's work even if the brand is not NOKIA.

Even if the MMC chip is branded as Nokia I seriously doubt Nokia actually manufactures it. I am positive that most of the chips are made in the same factory somewhere in Taiwan and then are sold and labeled by the vendor.
ANYBODY KNOWS HOW TO CHANGE THE XPRESS-ON COVERS??????
Just drop it on the floor... works like a charm...

Is it possible to flash my Nokia 3650 with a DCT4 cable... I aint got a box.

That is a great explanation mooodi!!Can you be more in detail like what are you trying to forward? And what is with the bold?!?
