no, you're wrong. N-Gage has 4096 colors instead of 65k colors
Read the topic first... :P

I believe there are two main reasons why Nokia still sticks to 4096 colour screens:

1) Power consumption: mobile devices are always a compromise of performance and enough battery operating time. More colours means less standby / playing / talk time.

2) Component prices: you could always have a better CPU, more memory, more features, a better display etc, but then you wouldn't have a mass market phone anymore. I believe Nokia wants to make products that show profit from start.

Tero

Vexed has 16 colours, I don't need 4096, let alone 65K.

Heck SF Cave is monochrome and I don't hear anyone complaining about lack of colour there?

Flashy graphics and motion capture and FMV is all well and good. But it's the GAMEPLAY that counts.

...the N-gage have 65000 Colors instead of 4096?

i think ebo rite....BTW if ngage have 65k color...with 16mb RAM (if i not mistake.. 🙄 ) the price is more expensive.... 😃 and ngae will be so powerful... :icon14:

heheh... futhermore...ngage dosent need 65k because the game that develop currently dosent use rich color(for example..there is no realistic charater with smooth face 😃 in any game of ngage lately)...is that rite? 😃

but...with the help of RAM..the ngage is still powerful to beat hp with 1 megapixels camera.... 😉 ....

The N-Gage has a 104 MHz Dual Arm9 processor, which is perfect for the N-Gage with its 12 bit color and the games (made for N-Gage) run perfectly. If the display was a 16 bit, then the processor will not be able to operate properly and the games will run in a lower fps and maybe even crach sometimes. I don't think that anyone wants that.

NightmareChild, What Do U mean by "Dual Arm9 processor" ???
It has 2 , and other S60 phones has only one ?

and what is the second core for ?

jas0nuk wrote:Probably games, but I never thought it had a dual processor.

I never heard of this Dual thing anywhere, util someone said it
in this forum.

Most Nokia Symbian phones have two processors; one to handle the Symbian OS and another to handle the cellular modem/communications.
