Sup everyone, I just got my Nokia 3650 last week and I must say this forum has been very helpful.

My question is this, Inside my house, the place I use my phone most I have the worst reception,(like 0-2 bars) and I lose alot of calls. I was wondering does anyone know if they sell some type of intenna booster for this phone(nokia 3650) or any app or program or anything I can install to boost my reception?

The other problemo I have is when i recieve voice mail nothing appears on my stand by screen alerting me of a new voicemail(supposely there suppose to be an backwards 8 infinity sign) letting you know of any new messeges but nothing at all appears and when I goto check my voice mail I got like 20 important messeges and there all old, and another problem when i get a call being i have such terrible reception my phone dont even ring or say i have any missed calls so i have to periodically check my missed calls log, and its a major pain in the ass thats why i want to know if they sell some sort of booster for my phone.

When I called at&t about the voicemail they said there updating it and that could be my problem, they said give it a week or so, so has anybody else experienced these problems???

Im waiting on my bluetooth dongle i ordered then i'll be able to share pics and all....thanx for your help....shaolin

I don't know of any reception booster type things. I personally find reception on my 3650 is great (but thats a UK network) compared to other phones.

The voice mail thing would be a network problem, it works fine here on my 3650 (its that symbol you describe).

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Welcome to the forums.

I agree with Rafe on this one... I find the 3650 reception great also. Maybe it's just your house...

Welcome!

In a different note, Maybe its a network problem. Maybe the place that you are in is a clogged and that to each his own cell. Sometimes, networks have a maximum connections per cell site.

That happened here in the Philippines when almost a million people took the streets at our EDSA shrine monument, two years ago. Most of the phones were not working since the cell sites in the area were maxed.

The voice mail icon is a network provided service and is not necessarily displayed (although it did work on Cingular GSM). Not sure of AT&T. My carrier here in Moscow (MTS) does it differently (cheap bastards). Everytime I get a voicemail they send an SMS to my phone telling me that I have so many new and so many saved messages. Works but I prefer the icon.

i agree to reception is gr8 nearly 95% of the time always full (T-Mobile UK)

and i aint herd of no boosters for phones..... try standing near a open window... jus ta thought

neway WELCOME!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) 😃 😃 😃
