Deleting .ini files

Can you delete the ".ini" files after the application has been installed? I find that they sit in my "C" directory taking up space, even though I have moved the app to my MMC. Please help. Thanks

Good question. It is a shame that more than one week has gone by and no one has answered you. I myself have the same question. Hopefully someone knows the answer.

does anybody have an answer to this?...

finally, what about the systems.ini file?.....
if you delete this file, what really happens?.....

If you mean the ones in C:\system\install then the answer is Not really. If you delete them the program will disappear from Manager as installed and you will not be able to proplerly uninstall it. If that's not the location please specify exactly which location you are talking about.

Thanks for the answer--finally someone who had something useful after more than 110 views of this question. Not sure its right though....

(that ought to smoke other people out of the woodwork who usually pretend to know what they are talking about 😉 )

I say if it aint broke, don't fix it. If the ini files are causing no harm, don't delete them. They won't be consuming a massive amount of space, so what's the harm in leaving them?
