Maybe your headphones is busted... or are you sure that it's plug properly? Maybe it's loose...
what i mean is its stuck on headset settings,
when u take the headset off it still is stuck on headset?
Oh ok! i didn't understand your post before... nope, haven't experienced it. Did you try rebooting your phone? Is the headphone sign still there?
I had this and got a bit worried. I managed to sort it by plugging in my headset and then turning off the phone. Unplug headset and turn phone on. Hope it works for u !
ive tried everything, nothing works. looks like its gonna go in 4 repair,
bloody phone, nokia try to make things better with plug n play and screw it up.
There's a similar problem on the 8310, if you disconnect the headphones before turning the radio off...
Had the same problem. Well switched profiles using the Power/profile button and then plugged the headphones back in (or something like that). In other words play with it. The problem disappeared for now <knock> <knock> from my phone.
I have the problem with the headphones all the time!!!
The phone thinks headphones are still connected, but the headphones are unplugged.
At first, it only happened once in a while.
Now, it is a BIG PROBLEM!!!
ok I know this is not the answer you are looking for
however it truly is a solution
my 3650 has that problem once in a while and it was getting worse and worse (it is 12 months old)
If i pulled the headset out the indicator would stay lit
I bought a motorola HS-810 bluetooth headset and it works AWESOME!!!!
and, i have a great headset with NO MORE STUCK IN HEADSET PROBLEM!
I think the $85 I paid for it is worth the lost down time of missing calls

What does that have to do with Nokia 3650 or this headphone problem???
The problem is the Nokia 3650 thinks the headphone is connected, even when it is unplugged.
The phone is "stuck" on headphones, even though there is no headphones plugged in. So the phone makes no sound and picks up no sound. Microphone or speaker do not work.

This is a different problem...
Originally, Nokia 3650 always knows correctly if headphones are plugged in or not.
Then, it starts to behave badly-- Nokia 3650 thinks headphones are plugged in when the headphones are not plugged in.
Sometimes Nokia 3650 could be reset correctly, by taking out the battery and starting the phone again.
But, the problem gets worse and worse, and sometimes this will not fix the problem.
VERY ANNOYING! BIG PROBLEM

Do you also have the problem again?
I have been having the same problem to vary degrees, the problem seems to be a mechanical one and I have two solutions...
1) as you are pulling out your headset jack from the phone angle the jack so the
tip is pointing to the left, but be careful because this actually broke the jack of my headset which is how i came across the next solution...
2) get a paperclip, unfold it and use it to caress the inside of the socket again with the tip pointing left.
What I think is going on is that there is a switch inside that get pushed down when you pull out of the socket, but i think it may actually be a combination of two switches (i think one of them is visible near the bottom of the socket on the right)
I hope this helps everyone out

Maybe it's caused by some uninstalled app.
1. Clean "unused file" with an explorer app. ( it may be from uninstalled app.)
2. Plug your headset, turn off, unplug, and turn on. :icon14:
My 8910i got the same problem. I spent 3 hours working on it.
Problem encounterred because u dropped yr phone or smt like that.
All u have to do is to play with it.
. Get a very tidy screwdriver, or unfold your paper clip.
Dial a number and leave it on (ex your service provider number)
Slice the paper clip in (the headphone jack), point to the left, then point to the right, keep moving in and out (like when u make love wit smone) (while the call s still actives)
***Until the screen shows a message like "The Accessories is not supported"
Then well done.
