MMC 64 mb or 128 mb

I'm ordering 128MB MMC next week.

I'm gonna end up having to order one myself off the net, just can't find ANY 128mb MMC in ANY store in my area (Chicago).

Get the 128mb, it's worth the extra money if you take a lot of pics and/or install a bunch of apps/roms.....

i have a 64 and regret it and am waiting for the 256 :-?

And say why,you need more memory or what

I have a 128 MB one, but I don't need half o the memory... and I have a LOT of apps installed... I wanted a 64MB one, but we're all out....

...not to mention th 750 poliphonic ringtones I have in the card... (don't ask why... just finding ways of filling the card...) 😃

definitely 128 mb!add litttle cash and woala!!tons and tons of good data!!!hehehe!!!

Yeah! i use 128mb ands it's great!

Tons of mp3's, roms, java games, apps, videos (music videos converted to 3gp formatt!), and loadsa images!

Also loadsa skins for slauncher!

So yes go for 128mb, you've got nothing to loose (except for a couple of quid!)

Hm,well but,i think i'll buy 64mb.

Get yourself the biggest MMC you can afford. If you want to watch videos -- expect 50-70mb per video -- if it is a TV show, movie etc. (not just a music video). If you do a lot of pics, that will also eat up memory. The apps tend to not take up much space. It is the ringtones, videos and pics that will kill you. Why go for 64 when you can get 128. And why not strive for 256.

I bought my 128 MB MMC three days ago and installed lots of apps, rm's, small videos, photos, maps etc. Now there's just about 40 MB left for camcording and photosessions 8)

Definitely 256 or 512. I have 128 for 4 months and is very small 😞

Top support the 256 you would need the new fimware as Jimmy Floyd already knows.

Well, there isn't 512MB MMC yet. 256MB is just about to come widely available.

And doubt that 3650 will ever support 512MB MMC.

I would definitely recommend the 128MB one..

Anyways seen from my point of view.. The largest MMC that I could find here in Norway was 64MB and they charge you over 1100NOK for it.. I bought my 128MB from http://www.expansys.co.uk for approx. 400NOK...

I think you guys may get the picture... 😊 hehhe

I just recently purchased a 128 MB coz I thought 3650 does not support more than that. I have not use it yet. Reading through the message board, I realized that with a firmware upgrade, it is possible. My firmware is 2.54. Will it support 256? Also, what is the best way to transfer all the data from the old memory to the new one? Thanks.

THANKS GUYS for your post, TODAY i BOUGHT 64 mb PQI card.coz the price was very low-it costs 15 EURO,and 128mb costs 45 euro.AND I HAVE A QUESTION:IS IT NECCESSARY TO FORMAT MMC CARD 😮 ,coz i inserted it,and NO ask by phone to format was given.(NO ASK).

Phone doesn't ask if you wanna format MMC. It does it by itself.

No the 3650 doesn't format the MMC automatically. If it did, it would create the sounds\digital folder, etc. and erase any data already on the card. If the card is already formatted (either came already formatted or formatted in a card reader) you don't have to format it in the phone, but it's a good idea to do that to set up all the folders.

Ive only had my phone a short while and after reading what the phone is capable off (including whole films etc...) i wouldn't go for anything less than the full capacitiy (didnt realise that they may be bringing out over 128mb but hey i might even wait for that). If anyone has any info on what sort of sizes may be released and when please let me know !!!!!!!!!! 8)

Since my last post, I have installed my 128MB. I'm happy with it. I didn't go 256 because I'm afraid my firmware won't support it. I formatted my card first using my 3650. (Extras/Memory/Options/Format mem.card).
I then placed it in my card reader plugged it in my mac and copied everything from my old card. Needless to say I first copied my old 16 MB card to my computer. It copied everything, the only minor problem I encountered is that some apps that were previously placed in certain folders came out to the top most directory.

People add rather u get 2x 64 mb card than one 128 card sow u can have to seperate moods like = 1 card mp3's /video
2nd card games and other entertatinment

so your saying that every 2 seconds u have to swap cards????

and its better to have one bigg on than 2 small ones cuz in the big one you will have everything u need and the 2 small ones you have to carry with u???
