MMC 64 mb or 128 mb

I think,that 64 is suitable for me,coz when i send video file(1mb)to 3650,PC suite converts it<and the file appears to be 97kb.

And i havent got big videos, and i am not going to watch big videos on 3650.What about MP3s,i've tried mp3s on 3650,and the quality is bad.

i have a 128mb mmc expansys card and i also have encoded entire movies and can watch them back on my phone not poor quality either

With all due respect, but you guys are nuts. 128mb MMC? for what?
To watch realmedia movies encoded at low resolution with low bitrate and low quality mono sound? on a tiny screen? Why? How often do you find yourself in a situation where you have to watch a video on your phone and no other video source is available? And dont forget that encoding process probably takes hours over realtime. And mp3s, dont they sound sucky in mono? As far as loading your phone with useless apps, I noticed that even if you install it on MMC, some files go into the main memory anyways and after a while you get less and less ram(plus all the apps that run at startup).......
When I got my phone i went throuh app rush and downloaded every possible app and game available and installed them. After i realized which ones i trully need and removed the rest, my phone's memory was still around 1.7mb even when i moved the images/etc over to MMC. So i reset my phone and only installed those apps that I need. Now with those 10 or so applications, 40-50 images in high quality I still have around 10mb free in my original 16mb MMC. And I now have 2.9m free memory

AND I DONT INTEND to buy more unless I start developing J2ME and need some serious storage. neither should you, but thats my humble opinion

i tihnk its not a bad idea geting 128mb always good to have extra space for nething 16mb i only have about 2mb free and its resrictive because i cant put no more simpson episodes in which happen to be good quality for ur info

please define good quality.....
video size, audio bitrate, video bitrate, frames per second....

Dont forget that outside of beasts like opera and netfront, few 3650 apps are bigger than 100k. That leaves you with enough space on you phone for 100 APPS and 6mb worth of 30K pictures(200 pics).....
I still strongly believe that encoding your dvds to be viewed on your phone is a DUMB idea of grand proportions

So, how do you know other people's needs? If you don't need 128MB space, don't buy the damn MMC then. But don't come here and say to other people that you won't need 128MB space, maybe they need it.

And no, i'm not gonna transfer movies to my 3650. I need space for apps, ringtones, messages, pictures. And pictures takes 50-500KB of space, depends on what app I use.

I definitely dont know your needs, but jugding from what people have said here about video and mp3s taking up most of their memory cards, I can safely assume that thats why they preach about getting as big of a card as possible.
I trully dont care if you decide to waste your money on a memory card, i just wanted to voice my opinion that its just that -- a waste.

As far as pictures being 50-500K each, the phone has .3 megapixel sensor and in the highest quality setting, the built in utility takes images under 50K each. Even photographer at its super high setting may increase that amount by 50%, but I trully dont know which software youre using that uses 500k of space per picture, because my 2 megapixel canon powershot s110 uses that much per 2-megapixel shots, not 0.3megapixel. You should consider using a less-wastefull software then....

Now I believe there could be a legitimate use for a large MMC card, I just havent heard it yet....Videos/Mp3s on your phone dont cut it, Hundreds of pictures under 50k each fit easily, so do tens of usefull apps and games(how many can you possibly have and use?). And a most populated contact database will easily fit under 1 megabyte.... In my case 16mb is sufficient.......Id like to see what people do with their 128mb memory cards?

And please, post an example of a good quality video on the web somewhere so that we could judge how "good" it is....
exactly i agree
Who?
You should consider using a less-wastefull software then....
Why? If i get better quality pictures than with Photographer. After i transfer them to my computer i can pack'em and they take only 20-50KB. 500KB is max. usually they take 250KB<.

MMC's are kinda cheap in Finland, so thats no problem.
You don't care and you are still posting here and saying that you wanna know where people uses their memory?

I've had my phone for about a week now and just got a 128mb MMC card yesterday and USB bluetooth adapter. I had already maxed out my 16mb card with a few apps, wallpapers, ringtones, a SH!T load of pictures, and a couple of videos that I took with the camera. I don't see how someone could possibly say that they didn't need any more than 16mb unless they aren't using all of the phones features.

Now that I have a 128mb card, I've been installing tons of games, taking all the pictures that I want, loading MP3's on there (mostly a novelty), and actually using it to transfer files from work to home and vice-versa.

I wonder what is the max. MMC we can use for the Nokia 3650/3660

Which ones are working? From the posts I see, that some people are using 128M. Is anybody out there who is using 256M or 512M (1 G I found only as pre-order, so most likely nobody will use it.)
