Images for the right panel

Yes, it's quite easy, you need a piece of software called BMCONV.EXE which is available on the 9210 SDK and 4 bitmaps. I'll e-mail the file with instructions to you.

Im going to write a little thing that will be up at my little corner soon..
Im testing some new dimensons for the panel.It�s told that it should be 130*200 but it�s more like 100-110*200.It�s anoying that the pice get�s chopped when displayed in the 9210.You can see how it has chopped off a bit of the nose in the Civil Planes 1 skin I made (first screen) <A HREF="http//loonyworld.homepage.dk/9210civilplanes1.html" TARGET="_blank"><B>H_E_R_E</B></A>
Anyways.. I want to be able to calculate with the right screen edge, and i guess so do you.
And when it all come to all..It�s fairly easy to make them, it�s just time consuming like hell..

Patrick, now I have not problem about the size or colours of the images. I use 100x200. And when I use bmconv, the BMP files have more of 20000 colours,hehehe, but it works fine writing "C16".

Rafe, no problem about that. But I have a problem my device is crazy. Last night when I was testing my right panels images, the Clock of my device began to change its time by itself repeatedly. A few days ago I had the same problem after installing Terra Force, and I thinked that this game was the cause. Then I uninstalled the game and it was ok until last night.
I dont know why it occurs...
My device has more bugs,for example, the direct acces Ctrl-l doesnt work in Word or RingMaster...
I have the 3.54 version. Must I format my device?
Have you any idea?

I have being using a great tool, from LOONYWORLD. But it seems that the screen resolution colors for the wallpaper is not adjusted to the right screen picture. Is there a way to correct the screen resolution, in order to have the same levels and equal colors for both images?

But I too ended up with a 100*200 res..Just like the good Manowar said..
So the civil planes gets an update..
The other skins I did does not suffer from being a tad bigg.
But ofcourse all new ones will be propper sized.
Simpsons in the works, along some other cartoon skins...

The colour correction is there nothing to do about..The fact that 1 pic is .jpg and another is .bmp makes it impossible to make it perfect.
Or is there ??

When I speak about screen resolution, I mean that when I install your tool, at first choosing the wallpaper, and after installing the rest as mentioned on your web page, there is a difference in colors with the right screen. I mean the result is that the wallpaper seems to be blurred & less sharper, and the right screen is sharper & brighter.
Question. Is it possible for you to work on a solution to include as well the left screen?

Yes, there is a color difference with the right panel. Before the copy of the files to my comm, what I do is open Photoshop, hehehe, and adjust the colors desaturating the images of the right panel. And after that I check the colors on my comm. Its so boring, but....

How can you adjust the color for the right panel, when the only file available is the wallpaper. Maybe I am just a Greek, and its too complicated to me???

Hehehe, I�m sorry, you are right.. Well, what I do is adjust the images ON MY COMPUTER (with a photo editor) BEFORE convert them to one MBM file, and then I copy that file to my comm.
You are right, you can not adjust the images on your comm directly. You need a DOS command to make your own images for right panel.
If you are interested, ask to Loonyworld again (the master,hehehe) or go to www.n9210.co.uk and ask to Patrick about this. I�m only a beginner, hehehe.
Anyway, the color difference is not so bad to can see a difference between panels.
Perhaps, with a photo editor, you could saturate or grow dark the jpg desk background to be like the right panel.

Well..in my opinion, Color adjustment is perhaps the trickiest part in this.There are so many factors.True that some desaturation and grow dark will make them more even.But a perfect match can never be accomplished (I think).There is also the viewing angle and enviroment luminans to think about then.And the fact that they are different formats.It�s also tricky to catch the different Brightness settings.And then there is even that milky white transparency on the desk part.

The LEFT side panel..Hmmm..I dream about it too ..But some wise people told me once that it�s impossible to put a texture there..Only custom thingie for that is the

Yes, 100x200 is too small.
Anyway I think 107x200 is small too, because when I open some apps the size of the right panel increases.
I think there�s not an especific size.

The size is 113x200 but i think it's not good for all show in 9210. Some times need biger pic and some times small one.
I think the 113 wide it's the best solution.

Have you thought about making the image as one large one, saving it as a .jpg, then, 'cutting' the end off to become the right panel image and saving that as the bitmap, then re-saving the .jpg.
Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick and the problem is with the translator on the Nokia for mis-matching the colours.

BTW can someone send me the converter prog so I can do my own wallpapers and panels, while I await my SDK.
