Please do, I would really want to learn where to get software in SG to convert VCDs and DVDs to Mpeg 4 format to load into the P800.

I think that even if you can convert vcds and dvds, you will need a bigger than 128 memory stick duo. From wat iam aware of is that P800 is design to up to 128MB

Singaporean here too, I sometimes at #sonyericsson and always at #twistedhopes on irc galaxynet, keep me informed of this club hor. 😃

MP4 can, not suitable for fullscreen view but a whole movie, like 1 hours 30 minutes to 2 hours will be like 40++ MBs, encoded with PV Author or use the Nokia's Multimedia Converter to convert to 3gp format.

I now have 1 episode of Friends and 2 episodes of Simpsons on my P800 w 128MB MG duo with plenty of space to spare and another user on Howard forums has the entire Pianist on his P800 128MB, the P800 is truly a mobile entertainment device.

I am looking forward to actually having full movies on my P800 anyone in SG can help?

Where to get Packet Video Author or NK Mutlimedia Convertor? Must they be downloaded only? or can they or others be bought at retail in Singapore?

PV Author is expensive, but I think its really easy and nice to use. It can be bought online at http://www.pv.com/ for US$59.99. The Nokia Multimedia Converter can be downloaded for free at Nokia Forum, just need to register and all but the settings are barebone and limited.

Hi There, so any findings with R2F over R2D?

Cheers

Hi all! Thanks for the respond of the club iam trying to set up! However do gimme you emails so that i can update you guys who are interested! I have collected my phone after upgrading to R2F. Check out the new thread posted by me! Cheers!

Hi Accela, I have just registered in this forum and was the Guest asking qns.

So can the barebones NK MM convertor still get the job done? or must I get PV author? the difference of USD60.00 and Free, is quite large.

So happy and delighted to my fellow Xinjiapo rens in this group.

I have already planned to have a P800 User Group started. I have not yet setup my portal but will be annouce to all soon.

Okay, since everyone is xinjiapo ren, have anyone try asking if they can change the covers to mineral grey? And how much? Cuz I would like to do just that..

My friend saw one lady at Clark Quay Station last friday evening using a white color cover on her P800. He claim that its look nicer than our standard blue.

But there again I will not want to risk voiding my warently to a cover like that becoz it's seen that it needed to open up everything in order to change the casing.

HEY Sinjiapo rens, why not one of these days we gather together at boat quay or some pub for a User Group gathering???? Just like what our fellow UK users are doing?

You are correct, the warranty might be voided, rather not take the risks.. I asked today at the woodlands techie guy, he say grey case will not be around for next few months - I left it at that. But you know where can I change the covers, like that lady? I would like to know nevertheless.

Sg ppl not as outgoing de lar.

I really have no freaking ideal how she change hers.... :-?

Anyway... I still love the default color of my P800... light blue...

Well... you are very right we Sinjiapo ren are indeed like that... can't be help it's the culture or rather ugly dirty culture of Sinjiapo renssssss.. :x Have you read the Streats this morning? Talking about the incident on last firday at Doby gruat station... the free GV tickets!!! I feel so disguested to call as a Sinjiapo rens.

Anyway back to topic... sorry for the back tracks..

My friend and I met almost few times in a week to share XP and tips. There is so many ticks and tips in this phones... including some A Must Have Appls.

One more thing. Please do not talk about warez in here. It's not allow and will be ban

I know lar, no warez, crackz and the like here. 😃 What incident? I never read, I know they were giving out tickets that day but I never go check the new line, only passed by.

Hi guys.....thanks for the respond in my setting up the p800 group in sg! Thanks again! Iam thinking of setting up a group hangout for of us here sometime next week......depending on the respond of course...😊 All who interested please mail me your contact at: [email protected] and i will contact you once confirm. Anyone game? Hope to hear from you guys soon!

another question for Singapore P800 users,

1..has one change their housing for their P800 ?
2..where to change a damage housing ?
3..how much does it cost ? ( with and without existing warranty ) ?
4..how about replacement of parts such as the keypad ? How much does it cost ?

I expect you can find those at the SE Service Points or the HQ, warranted or not because that is their responsibilties for such services. In the future, when the grey version is out, we'll be able to switch the casing at SE points for a price, how much I don't know..

Gee, how about a self intro for all sg users here, for starters? I'm 19/M, waiting to enrole into nyp. Crap, I updated the firmware to R2F and the phone crashes whenever I try to select an audio for ringtone and such, how?

Are you running 3rd playing in the background? Are you playing it with unreal player?

Anyway try to hard reset your phone once again.

IF
P800 = crashes again
Goto location = SE Service Centre at Novena and flash OS again
Else
Do (Insolation) your appl
Where
Install one appl at a time
EndIf

Well this is one example of a stupid answer from a stupid problem, as in refering to the problem of mine. 😃

PS: All Singapore users dead or something? :robot:

Just bought mine for SGD135 excluding shipping. Bought from New York. Its coming tonight, shipping via FedEx.. Shipping is 50 bucks, so total is 185... Pretty reasonable.

If you wanna buy, here's the link - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2938242648

The shop DOML sells them @ Funan, but now out of stock. They not sure when new stock will be coming, so I just buy online.
