Sim Lim, it costs around 3 something at the hardware shop that sells plugs, cables and thelike. But lemme warn you, its not as good as the one ordered online..

Ok..thanks...hmm guess i shld instead of just looking around at SLS haha. WHats the website that i can order the adaptor from? Have anyone is SG tried ordering it online? wanna do a mass order?

Ok, thanks.
Anyway just upgraded my firmware to R2F, it was a nightmare, SE took 3hrs to do it; but when i collected my phone, it was dead..i mean dun the tech at the svc centre at goldhill check before they return the phone to the customer?
Anyway, the lady was really apologetic and had it fixed within a hour and a half..but still kinda scary..makes me wonder if the techs at the svc centre check their handy work?

SE Service Centre at Kallang Pudding seems to be a better one than the Goldhill Plaza. I had my 2 P800s flashed there during R2D days and they were back in 1.5 hrs, both of them together, while Goldhill told me each phone needs 3 hrs 😞 In fact, over the past yrs, I had all my phones (T39M, T68mi and T310) sent there and non have any problems whatsoever afterwhich.

Also, Goldhill seems to have quite a few complains during the past few months from other forums as well such as Hardwarezone, as some people with P800s and T610 who sent in also died after flashing their firmwares there. Worse of all is some even have to go back 3 or 4 times after flashing their firmware to get their phones completely fixed 😞

Yup guess in future i will not go to the goldhill centre branch anymore. Hmm i also managed to get the 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack..sounds much better with my sony ear phones but the adaptor is toooo long and kinda loose fitting?
So the hunt goes on for a better adaptor.

Actually, I'm sticking to my SE earphones, don't like my stereo earphones and the only earphones I like are too expensive for me right now. 😮ops:

Just got my mineral grey P800 from singtel last weekend. 😃

It comes with a Simplifed chinese input interface and both Lunar and Standard calendar.

It also comes with a Chinese<->English Dictionary.

But no T9 yet.

All these features which are only available to P802 is now available in the new P800.

You they install the appl in your phone or you went to flush the firmware from Singtel and they pump in the free appl???

The Calendar comes with the Phone which I have newly bought from Singtel.

As for the dictionary, it comes with the CD and part of the PC Suite.
The PC Suite comes with something called "Dictionary Update" and it will update Simplified Chinese and English Dictionary to your Phone.

Strange enough this dictionary update software did not comes with PC Suite 1.5.1 current on SE website.

I need to install the one with the CD ROM first and then update to 1.5.1.

Yes Dictionary comes with the new Phone. But the data files need to be install from the CD ROM and then update via the Dictionary Update Application. Pretty Cool.

My P800 was stolen last week... I am sooooooooooooooo upset over it. Any idea how to trace or track the lost P800?
Would love to have it back... which I know is almost impossible.

sigh!!!! Only had it for 3mths 😞

Where and when you lose it? Have you report to your ISP and the police yet? Did you report it with your IMEI code of your phone?

What would reporting IMEI do? I dont think telecom service providers in Singapore, blocks IMEI that are reported stolen, correct me if I am wrong about this.

Oinkster, how was it stolen, if you dont mind me asking? I truly hope you get it back.
another question for Singapore P800 users,

1..has one change their housing for their P800 ?
2..where to change a damage housing ?
3..how much does it cost ? ( with and without existing warranty ) ?
4..how about replacement of parts such as the keypad ? How much does it cost ?
yoyo.. guys not new to this forum but new to the tread... btw there is a couple of weeks i've not log into this forum... very the busy... BTW i've drop my P800 on the floor b4 & the whole f***Ing screen crack into something like spider webs but manage to bring it to the service center to get a repair for that... guess how much it cost me somewhere near $300 so all the guys out there be xtra careful when u handle your P800
