The 3650 can be unlocked yes.

You can't download software to do it. You need hardware.

You type an unlock code into the phone, you don't use Bluetooth.

The hardware generates the code (it is a dongle).

You just enter the code that the hardware produces 😊

wopt about if we used the old way doin it gettin software and data cable to plug in somewhere like the 3310 3330 iv seen it done on them u hav to lift battery slighly or sometihng

Doesn't work.

The "old" phones are DCT-3, which can be unlocked using this method. DCT-4 can't yet (AFAIK).

Please note that this is a delicate subject on AAS, so we won't go into too much detail.

I know it can be done on the 7650... haven't looked around for someone who'd do it on the 3650, so I don't know...

The one time i had to unlock my phone (8890 a long time ago) I phoned my provider (Cingular) gave them my IMEI number and in 3 days they phoned me back with the unlock code.

The provider was Cingular in California, US. They did not charge me anything but I was on a one year contract with them at the time.

In Portugal there's no way your service provider will allow you to unlock your phone for free. They charge you about 100 Euros to do it... it always has to be done "underground" if you prefer not to pay that much...

Orange in the UK charge 30, I think carphone warehouse charge 20, but I know if you go into London you get your phone unlocked for under 10.

I have a software call DCT4 unlocking code generator. I've never used it. By supplying Operator, DCT4 phone model and IMEI, then the program will generate the unlocking code for you.

As I said earlier in the thread, the AAS viewpoint is that we should not discuss unlocking on the forum.

Therefore, at the request of Rafe, this thread is closed.
