Finally.... FREE Yahoo!, ICQ, MSN and AOL client!
Hi.. I have established new site where I hope to put all things
together. The address is http://www.symbian-os.com .You can find new
AgileMessenger which supports Yahoo!, ICQ, MSN and AOL messaging and
it is FREE. Also, I am looking for authors for news and topics so as
for moderators on forum on site so please contact
me on [email protected]

For some reason they say in the post on the site is listed under Messengers when in fact is listed under Internet.

Hello, i am trying to download file thru the wap site of symbian-os, and it reaches to an http form, which i can't fill from my phone. I can't beam files from my computer because my infra red adaptor doesn't work. Can you help?

My site offers a free client download for major instant messaging services. Other than that it is still under development. However among other things that are shortly going to be implemented is useful info about every application: size in memory when installed and memory needed for program to run. Also it will be a pop3 and web proxy via wap for those that do not have pop3 clients or html browsers. And that is just the beginning.

Hi...
Wap downloads are still in strictly development phase. I assume that today or tomorrow i will fix it so you could download applications throug wap too.

Regards

I have only tested MSN and i cant get it work properly. Only like 15/70 contacts are in the list, everytime i logg on i get a error but still i get connected. I cant see the people that are online, i tested to send a msg to one that i knew were online, but he didnt get it. And when i closed the program MSN stayed logged in like 8 hours (other have said it), and when i logged on next day i got alot of msgs, like they got saved and all got sent to me the next day.

Is it only for me that msn is hardly usuable in this version?

Same problem for me, error upon login. However I did find that one of my contacts showed up as online (out of a known 14 in the list that WERE online), and I was able to communicate fine.

But yeah, unuseable still.

Hi, i downloaded it to my phone(7650), 3.16 is my firmware and it's not working...Can you help me on what might be the problem? By the way, i am a Globe Subscriber(Philippines) and im using Singtel here in Singapore, I can connect to the net thru Services, but AgileMessenger could not connect... =(

I think the problem here is when you connect with agile, your not connecting directly to the service ie MSN
You connect to Agile's server which then in turn connects to MSN.

Two problems - agile can see all your messages, user/pass etc and like you have experienced - you disconnect from agile on your phone but agile does not disconnect from MSN so your friends still think your online and send you messages which your not replying too..

Solution - use a messenger program that connects DIRECTLY to the service rather than throu a proxy.

IM+ fom www.shapeservices.de does just this and I've never had a single problem with it - it's not free thou but I think it's worth the money just for this feature alone.
Thou in my opinion the interface on agile is easier to use and more user friendly than IM+ but you soon get used to it.

Best

Well I've tried TipicMe and JustYak but the Agile Messenger wins hands down. Excellent application!

I just don't understand why the makers of IM+ don't provide a free trial. I'm never going to pay for it without trying it now that Agile Messenger is available. Don't get me wrong - I don't mind in the least paying for good software. But I also don't like paying for it when I can't try it first.

See my reply on the 3650 forum for why their so called free trial just doesn't cut it for me 8)

I hope I'm not sounding too greedy by requiring trial software to meet the minimum specifications of 'uncrippled' and 'up-to-date' but I think that in the market for mobile software, anything less just won't do.
