Bluetooth Trouble: mRouter connects - but PC Suite does not!

Hello,

I have a problem connecting my 3650 to my PC. I installed a Bluetooth USB adapter from Trust, and got me the program PC Suite.

After a lot of trouble, reading threads on all kinds of Forums, and 15+ hours of work, I got mRouter to connect to the correct port. However, PC Suite stays in "offline mode" - it says "not connected"...!

How do I get it to connect??

When I open the "change device" menu on mRouter, it says "Nokia3650 not connected" (but the right port is checked and seems to work).

Some other peculiarities:
* When starting up, I get the message "can't perform this action because the other device is busy" (or something similar).
* I have TWO mRouter icons in my system tray.
* In My Bluetooth Places, it says the "Bluetooth Serial Port on Nokia3650" is not connected, but next to the Nokia 3650 icon, it says "Paired, Connected". When I click the Serial Port, I get "Could not establish connection" and the window suddenly collapses. However, sometimes, mRouter will switch on, and I get a pop-up that my Nokia has successfully connected.

If there is no solution for this problem, is there a way to move files to and from my Nokia without installing PC Suite? I tried something:

* In the Nokia 3650 menu in My Bluetooth Places, there is the option of "OBEX File Transfer on Nokia 3650". I can use this to move files into my phone's Message Inbox, but I can't move them out again of the File Transfer window (I can delete the messages from the Inbox though). I can't get any images or files =from= my phone.

Thanks in advance!

Specs:
* Trust Bluetooth adapter
* Windows 2000
* PC Suite (newest version)
* Nokia 3650

Another thing: on the Nokia website, it says the Bluetooth software should support "serial port protocol" (SPP). How do I know whether my BT software does this? I tried to Google for it but came up with nothing.

How necessary is it that it supports SPP?

I have the same prob, except I cant get anything into the phone. My obex filetransfer doesnt work. I have win98se, but theres no "my bluetooth places" or anything like that.

2. installed XTNDConnect Blue Manager V2.

What kind of program is this? Where do I get it?

You mean you have some kind of InfraRed device on your PC, in addition to the bluetooth dongle or card?

Don't just download XTND connect if your BT dongle came with another software. The program, even the latest version has it's large share of problems working with mRouter. I got it to work in Win 98SE but it refuses to cooperate in XP Pro.

Thanks - didn't do that.

Somehow, I got the regular file transfer function to work, by installing the TECOM software (I have a Trust BT dongle).

I'm thinking of just abandoning the PC Suite - it creates more problems than it solves.
