I have Fexplorer and am trying to change my operator logo, but when I try to it sends me right to free memory *EMPTY which is strange. Then if I do find the picture to convert to a logo, it just blinks back to the previous menu and doesnt ask me if I want to restart my phone to set the logo. Is Fexplorer buggy? Thanks for helpin. 😃
OPERATOR LOGO CHANGE NOT WORKING
Try to change it with seleq....... no probs for me.....
Well,FExplorer works for me,but that does not solve the problem.Das boot, try seraching for the image you want to set as operator logo by using the find feature in FExplorer and when it finds the image, try seting it as operator logo.
Thanks Ghost, but no good. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Fexplorer trying to make this work, but it won't work. Every time I try to set Operator Logo it flahes to the E: memory. Normally when I change the logo I am prompted by a phone restart. Any ideas?
I have download today FExplorer to change my operator logo and voila it work....when you select the image from " in my case on mcc card" I choose e:\images\20.jpg ----options<<<file<<<<Set as operator logo
it reboots auto.
Are you sure the pic you want to save as an operator logo is the correct size. It needs to be 97x25.
Kirill and Guest ...,
Don't care about the size of the image, any jpg or gif are re-sized to fit the correct size (only the bmp are kept)
Only the jpg, gif and bmp files can be used !!!
1) take a picture
2) go to c:\nokia\images select this picture
3) go to file > set as operator logo
4) wait a while until reboot ....
if the logo doesn't display :
1) go to c:\system\apps\phone\oplogo
2) ckeck there is a file in this directory, this file must be in the format of :
ABC_D_E.bmp where ABC (mcc) and D (mnc) are the codes of the operator (you can check them thru FExplorer with Network/info), E is generally 0
if you haven't, you can always copy a bmp file (with the correct filename) into this directory and reboot to perform a test.
ATT: I have noticed that some operators don't allow to change the logo.
Hope this help,
Domi.
After settings a logo, verify that the file
Thanks Domi. That worked last night. :bday:
what if i want to restore its original logo? (the network provider logo)???
Go into the C:\system\apps\phone directory and delete the oplogo directory found there, then reboot the phone and voila... original network name.
In fexplorer i cant find the file c:\system\apps\phone\oplogo and whenn i find the oplogo as described on the first part i go to file and then go to file but set as operator logo is not an option, its only an option on the first screen which shows the drives. I have v1.09 if that changes anything.
done now, all i had to do was to use the find feature, not manually search for it. Thanks everyone
A small note, there is a newer verison of FExplorer available, you can download it from www.gosymbian.com
AND i changed op.logo via Stools.. psiloc.com
Hello guys!
You all have great suggestions! Keep it up!
I also have the similar experience. I downloaded a colored logo and tried changing it using FEexplorer but it seems by older logo is still intact and it will not change after dozens of restarts.
Here is a tip:
Delete the oplogos that are on c:\system\apps\phone\oplogo
Then try to add an operator logo. This will work. I assure you.
