I just put an updated sim in my phone and now i want to copy my contacts over to the sim so that if I ever need to use another phone, I'll still have all my numbers.
Anyone know how to do this?

as far as I know this can only be done one by one.
If you open the contact and select Options you'll see "Copy to SIM Direct."

Not to mention that your sim card cannot hold more then one number per contact. Also the length of the name is limited by your sim card.

then options copy to contacts
Frenchie746, that doesn't work when you want to copy contacts from the phone memory to the SIM card, which was the original question.
It will only work by selecting and copying them one by one (unless you find a 3rd party program that can copy all, but note - as mentioned - the SIM is more restricted in that only one number per a name).
If you try it yourself, you'll see.
