yeah it sucked. let me tell you, i was freaking out. i was like all drunk and there were these people all over around the pool. i started walking along the very edge of the pool, and i fell in. i guess its my fault for trusting my balance while drunk and near a pool. but i took it apart, and held it out the window the entire drive home. i laid it on a towel over night (i was drunk, so for twelve hours it dried while i was hibernating).
all night i had dreams of my phone and the programs i would never use again. handycar, i only had like 4 entries... i wanted to see some graphs over time, but in my dream it was impossible. when i woke up i couldnt remember where my mmc and simcard were, but a little searching led me to find them. i put it all back together, and fucking a, it works. IT WORKS! my mom fell in a pool with a phone (not a 3650) and it like killed the battery. she could turn it on but it acted like the fully charged batt was dead. this did not happen to me. there is some water behind the screen but it is invisible unless you see it at an angle. i guess this post is for anyone who takes a tumble into the pool or maybe drops the phone in the toilet. i dont know, maybe i was just lucky.
my phone was in my pocket when i fell in the pool
Hahaha - great story.
The bosses 7650 went through the washing machine last week, he was not as lucky as you 😊
He gave it to me to fix!!
What the puck am I supposed to do with it - it even has dried washing powder dust under the screen! 😊
Hahahahaha!!!
I'll give it to my NSC see what they say 😊
My friend's Panasonic GD88 went through the wash. It was totally screwed but he was still able to get it repaired. Not sure how much it cost though.
Wow! It's good to hear that your phone still kick ass.
man,you are lucky.
ahhhhh, this morning i checked the screen and all the water has evaporated it seems. now its back to normal. this is such a relief
Glad to hear it 😃
Back in the day, when I had a Nokia 5160, I accidentally washed it in the machine. Dried it out, and it worked fine. Nokia makes damn fine fones 😃
damned lucky!
i had an old motorola that got dropped into the bath... it was very broken.
ever since then, i have tried to avoid keeping phones in my shirt breast pocket, though sometimes i do, have had a few VERY close calls...
Before we all start testing the resiliance of the 3650 to water I would like to add a sad story regardig a 3650.
One day a 'little' 3650 was sitting in a plastic bag on a kitchen table, while its owner was out having a drink, and then the ceiling above the 'little' 3650 caved in. A torent of water came pouring from the flat above. After a time the owner returned and saved the phone, and although it seemed fine because it had been in the plastic bag its down button on the direction pad had ceased to function. The owner was very relieved that he had insurance and had recently backed up the phone.
The end
I must say how helpful O2 Insurance was and how quickly O2 got a replacement ( 3 days) to me. I must also say that the series 60 gui is next to useless with out the ability to go down!
I once had a Motorla Startac fall in the john while I was taking a leak. Well it never came back to life but all my buddies had a great laugh while I was fishing out the phone out of the toilet.
Don't 100% relieved yet, sometimes phone works fine but after few days/weeks it can die...
There is many stories that phone works fine after 'water accident' but few weeks later phone dies because the components get oxidized. My friend dropped 3310 to river and it worked fine few days but then died.
hmmm thats scary... maybe ill go get som insurrence on it.
also, that story about the ceiling is crazy. why did you put it in a plastic bag if you didnt know it was gonna get wet?
Modern electronics will naturally not be damaged during a short wash if you remove the power supply all of a sudden, to avoid electrochemical effects at contacts.
The best thing is to absoluteley unmout it!
After this you should be patient to let every piece dry!!!
Please don't fix it until everything is absolutely dry.
Place it in the sun or under a Fan!
After this fix it again and it should work.
Washing it in a washing machine is heavy. Electrochemical effects will damage contacts.

If there's still some water in the phone make sure you get it dry ASAP. Otherwise you'll risk loss by rust and oxidation (My Logitech Cordless Keyboard suffered from this).
