Casio wrist camera - please help with buying!

7 replies · 2,734 views · Started 24 July 2002

Can anybody help me with Casio wrist cameras?

The one I'm looking for is QQV-10. I've tested it with my communicator and the IR is OK.

But.. the price: Casio recommends it for € 300 on its site, but the real cost in Finland is € 485 and € 469 in Germany!

Somebody has written here he has got it for only € 245 in Holland or does any body know where I can buy it for less money in Germany?????

Thanx everybody

This cameras pop up on the UK Ebay very frequently, and generally go for around 50-70 (about 75-100eur methinks). But to be honest, with a picture res of less than 200 pixels square it's probably not worth the effort.

I've actually played with the colour one and it's not 2 bad - but the only thing you could realy use it for would be piccies for the contacts database.

Here's an example attached from the wrist-cam...

Yes, the max resolution is 176 x somthing and additionally it's packed rather roughtly, but the colours are very nice.

I think it can be used by people (as me) who have many websites and who are looking for new sujets all the time elsewhere they are..

And last but not least: my wife has a communicator of her own and I love the idea of sending her pics from my travels, 'cause the are 4 KB large only!

D'u know, can I send pics by SMS, too? Or do I need a special program for it?

Thanx,

Leo

PS. I'm really happy today, because I did order the color wrist camera in Kaufhof warehouse yesterdy for only € 300! (full prepay) 😃
