Hi,
Day before yesterday my 3650 frooze and wud not restart. I removed the battery and tried to start the fone but now all I get is the nokia logo and nothing after that. I have rebooted 100 times and still nothing. Even tried the abc trick and removed the mmc, sim card but still nothing. Finally I took it to the nokia service centre but they say they are not able to figure wot went wrong and they cant even flash it. Infact they started blaming it on water logging...whereas Im sure its not that - I didnt even take it close to a drop of water. Wot do I do now? Im stuck 😞 😞 😞 PLS HELP ME!!!
Some pointers to just before it happened:
1) My battery was really now so I just put it on charger.
2) I was trying to use blutooth headset but it surprisingly wasnt working
3) I got a memory low error
4) I was trying to read an SMS
5) After all the above, the fone froze 😞
Now Im Desperate!!! 😞 😞 😞
its still under warentee aint it ..... send it back... jus say it happened by itself

You need to bring back the phone. If it is still under warranty, you're in luck.
If not, you might pay more.
Mine also encountered the same thing but it is running a-okay right now.
Hope it will stay like that for 2 years. Ha ha ha..

Hello dude!
I did not pay anything with the phone. I just sent it to an authorized Nokia Repair Center. They gave me a two weeks. The first week is for repair. What they did was a total software reset and upgrade. The additional week is for testing.
My phone is under warranty. You will only pay if they see that your phone has no warranty, phone was dropped, phone was open lined(meaning and it is no longer fixed with the provider).
How is your phone right now?

The thing is the nokia guys here are dumb....thas why i asked u wot did ur nokia guys do to fix ur fone. Is it possible for u to ask some more details from them? Someone in the forums suggested i get the ppm flashed....not the full flash but only ppm. Is that wot they did for u?? Appreciate ur help...thanks

Yeah, that is not true. The phone is tightly packed and water will not come in unless you drop them on the speakers or soaked it in warm water. Just kiddin'...

Yes they did reset my phone software by means of flashing. They should try that first.
they have tried the full flash 6-7 timz and they tell me it didnt work 😞

With this kind of problem, they say that it's a hardware problem. Like something burnt out... not sure though... mine was also like this. No matter how many times they flushed it with the latest software, nothing happens. So, had to say goodbye to my 3650... :-? Hope this won't happen to you... mekeni2000 is one lucky guy!

[email protected] for reply. Now they(Nokia service) tell me they tried replacing a few parts ie. hardware but still nothing works 😞 Also i read sumwher that its a OS problem. So basically Im still stuck 😞 😞 😞

Be persistent with the service center.
If the phone is new and doesn't work, and they can't fix it, ask for a replacement.
There are really no small replacable parts; only bigger modules such as the camera, display, the actual circuit board including all components soldered to it,...).
Your problem, Guest, doesn't sound like a software problem (and, besides, you should be able to expect that the software should work, too 😉 ).
Remember to keep track of the repair history (when you bought it, when you detected the problem, when did you take it into service, what was done/fixed/unfixed, etc.).
When i have a problem i always look for someone who looks quite sympathetic or someone who doesnt know what they're doing.This usually means a woman for the first and a man for the second. Next, cos i'm probably a lot younger than you lot, its eay to say i saved up for months and months to get it. The results are-in carphone warehouse i got a new 3650 even though it wasn't actually covered by the warranty at the time and tiger woods java game and 2 free covers! The 2nd time i took my mmc 128mb into dixons, told them that it would not fit my phone (which it does) and because the woman said to me that it would work, i got a refund of my �70, which i used to buy one off the internet. Anyway my point in saying this was becuase if some people had answered my thread about customer service and what you should do in this kind of situation then maybe not so many people would have this problem.
How long have you had your 3650? If its under 30 days then ur in luck. However it sounds like you have had it longer than that so the best thing that i can suggest is to take it to where you bought the phone e.g carphone warehouse, the link. If you bought it off the internet contact the website. If all that fails look on the watchdog and consumer rights web pages which tell you your rights. Thats how i got a refund on my mmc card.
thanks n/a. I have taken my fone back from the NSC and im thinking of following it up with my retailer. I think thas better....wot say?
Let him do the dirty work of following up with NSC. The only problem which i can foresee is that they(NSC) are blaming it on water logging....becuz there were some rusted parts inside - altho im 100% sure not a single drop has entered the fone.
70 quid for a 128 MB MMC is a ripoff like there is no tommorow. I paid about 30 bucks for mine.

the same thing happened to my phone... i visited nokia care center and was askin me to leave my fone and come back after 3 days... but of course i did not agree with them. i tried askin some of my friends and they have also encountered the same problem with their 3650. a friend of mine recommended someone who can actually fix my fone. he said that the problem must be th memory chip (UTPS) like they have to replace it. each memory chip would cost me like U$60. but then he have to replace like 2 chips. it took him like 3 weeks to completely fix my fone... and there... its already workin! very smooth! i asked him wat really happned to my fone, then he said its all because of GPRS. since then i dont use the services option in my fone! gudluck to u buddy!
