Ringtone delay

Have you ever noticed a small delay between the moment the phone shows the incoming call warning and the ringtone being actually played? When someone sends you a small beep, the phone doesn't get to ring or even vibrate. Is there a way to override this and set for example a minimum ringtone playtime for calls?

AS far as i'm aware it's how some of the midi files are recorded - if you get hold of ringtone studio (or an equivalent) you can crop the silent period from the start of the file - amongst other things. Hope this helps 😃

No! It happens even with ringtones with no silence at the beginning.

Am I the only one to notice this problem?

It maybe normal.Just think of opening a midi or wave from the Recorder,it takes a few secs to be opened.Teebow

I've noticed that only midi and wav files have this initial delay. The only ringtones that play instantly are rng files. 😞

Since I can do nothing about this, I want to know if there is any kind of program that establishes a minimum playtime for ringtones, so if someone gives me one short ring I'll be able to ear my phone ringing.

This would create a problem of your phone still ringing while the incoming caller has already hung up the phone.

My guess is it could be due to loading time. Since .rng files aren't as big as midis and wavs they load faster, therefore as soon as u receive an incoming call. Midis and wavs on the otherhand are much larger in sizes and they need to be played on a different player. They then need more memory to load.

I've had something similar, where someone has rung then hung up - their number went into my Missed Calls list but the phone didn't give me the usual "1 Missed Call" message.
