I'm trying to use a new 128mb MMC, so I did as I was told, and formatted it in the 9210. However, nothing would work on the new card, and after some messing about, discovered that there are applications etc stored on the original card, as supplied with the 9210.
Then got the Users Guide out, and discovered on page 246, "20. Some of the applications have disappeared or have been accidently removed". Again did as I was told, got out the CD-ROM and installed the memory card applications from the "Preinstalled in Memory Card" folder, only to find that only a fraction of the stuff on the original card has been installed on the new one.
So can one of you genius's please tell me where I'm going wrong, and help me get my 9210 working with my 128mb card as it does with the original 64mb one.
Much thanks in anticipation.
David.
i'm no genius but i have a suggestion:
format the phone first, make sure to save the contacts as well as the calendar entries and some other files you want to save. then format the MMC as well, then install the applications. use search and you will find a detailed how-to with regards to formatting as well as the maximization of RAM etc... happy searching 😃
😉 Here's the quikest way (but you'll need a card reader...):
Using the card reader copy all your stuff from your 64MB MMC to your PC... then later transfer everything to your new 128MB MMC....
now everything will be the same as before...
Nosferatu,
You're a genius, why didn't I think of that, and it even worked first time.
1000 thank yous.
David.
aj96,
Sorry, but the 2nd suggestion sounded a lot simpler, and it worked. But thanks for taking the time to post your suggestion.
David.
Trampusuk... no prob at all... always a pleasure to help...
Its a good thing to have a cardreader as it saves lotsa time...
not only just for backup but also for transferring files especially the HUGE ones like videos and stuff...
p/s: and also congrats on the 128MB...
Nosferatu,
Thanks again. I have the luxury of having readers for all cards fitted on my new PC, so it wasn't a problem.
David.
