Nightmare for 9210 Preview Video

I really think that we should bury the hatchet over the 9210+ suite and allow Digital Red to continue developing other products for Symbian.

Nobody likes to be let down on a promise, but Digital Red do reserve the right to do whatever they like with their products and none of us have actually lost anything.

I think it's great that they're releasing this great looking game. They've also been developing for the 7650. Do you realise how important it is to get support for Symbian on as many levels as possible? The competition isn't going to hang around and wait for us.

Digital Red may be one fish in the Symbian pond, but the Symbian pond is tiny compared to the Palm and PocketPC ponds. Let's keep them here and encourage them!
Digital-Red,

Shouldnt you answer HERE before posting videonews?
I think what Guest really wanna know here is a FULL EXPLAINATION on what has gone wrong with 9210plus... rather than just a "Opss, Sorry, I'm Britney Spears..." kinda explaination... coz that really sucks... coz me myself want some real explaination too...

and hey, where's my game??? heheheh... 😉

p/s: ...and also hopefully this new game will not just gonna be another nightmare like the 9210plus..

Tanker,

I 'lost' a voicemail. i let it be desactivated by my operator because 9210plus was going to be released. To have it active again i need to pay. So indeed i 'lost' something! Btw: it is np anymore, i will be better of with a Gameboy i think. I don't buy an expensive PDA to play with some horses!!!

I have to say I'm with Tanker on this one. Yes it is irritating when you get vapourware (and I feel especially sorry for the person who had to pay to reactivate voice mail, but the counting chicken....). Ewan put the point about developers doing this very well - basically they shouldn't. But I think we should forgive Digital Red - lets look at it perspective - they at least communicate with us mere mortals via this forum, one of the few software companies / authors to do so.

Yep, I'm about ready to bury the hatchet on Digital Red on this one (but woe betide them if they do it again... once is happenstance). But every developer should be wary on this one and not set out to deliberatly do what's happened here.

Thank you again for your concern on Digital-Red, although it is regretful to us as for 9210 Plus. Mainly because of market and its own orientation factors, Digital-Red has to finish this project. Up to now, 9210 market in China of Digital-Red is not so good and is far away from that of predicted by us, which also affects the orders of 9210 Plus. Even though 9210 Plus is introduced into the market, the problems of patent authorization expense and deducting expense should also be solved. All of the above gives Digital-Red a great pressure. We sincerely hope that users will understand us and support us all along. Digital-Red will transfer its development force to the field of Pocket PC/J2ME game. On Symbian OS flat, we will publish all kinds of games for users in spite of the limited market. Nightmare just came into being in this way. A series of products supporting 7650 will be developed in succession.
Thank you again, dear users.
