"Computer games don't affect kids, I mean if pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."

😃

Mine is something Ozzy Osbourne said to his kids as they left on a night out (that I think I'll use on my daughter when she's a teenager)

"Don't drink too much, don't take drugs, don't have sex without a condom".

On a similar note, my favourite toast:

"To good times, and bad women".

Also,

"When I'm good, I'm very, very good. But when I'm bad, I'm better."

Jadeviper's sig....one of my favs

"Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup"

....being a dragon myself, i agree totally!! 😃

I have several. One is....

Getting married is like getting a dog. It teaches you to be less self-centred, to accept sudden, surprising outbursts of affection, and not to be upset by a few scratches on your car. - Will Stanton

@ Tomahawk: I remember you telling about your significant other before... you had it real peaceful didn't you? 😃

I wish I could remember the exact quote from T3, but my favourite was the Arnold saying something about not having the database of the peculiarities of human relationships. Does anyone know it?

You've got a good memory LaurA ! Actually, its still about 4 weeks away but you are right, life has got more complicated than it used to be !

Haven't seen T3 yet but looking forward to it.

here's another on the same theme....

Marriage is a three ring circus: engagement ring, wedding ring, and suffering - Emo Phillips

Mine is " Ask and you will get, seek and you shall find" and " O blessed are who fear the Lord and walk in His way"

I still like

"What's it got in its pocketses ?" Gollum in LOTR.

My fiancee's family nickname for her younger brother has always been Gollum, so he has a bit of local fame / notoriety now!

The main thing that disappointed me about the first LOTR film (haven't seen the other yet) was that Gollum wasn't scary. I read The Hobbit as a child and was terrified of Gollum (still am if I don't think about the film version).

Another favourite quote: Gay men do not have the monopoly on being camp. If anyone's met Ewan, he is the embodiment of this quote 😊

mine is: "Never look down on others unless it is to lift them up..." Try to picture out that you are on top of the mountain and somebody is climbing, you look down on that person to help him up... I love this saying... 😊

When graduating to the adult version, Tokien developed Gollum into a creature to be pitied rather than feared - this seems to be relfected in the films.

Saw T3 last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unlike other sequels, I think they've done a good job of retaining and developing the plot. All right, it's a bit cheesy at some points but, on the other hand, it is dark in the cinema so nobody can see you laughing.

Anyway....
