what do i need to play .wavs as my ringtone.. i have the 3650 but have no idea how to do that.. would be nice if someone helped me...

mate, i've just finished searching and i couldn't find anything helpfull so i'm going to pester you ppl with more questions.

now, i had an mp3 player on the phone and the mp3 sounded like CRAP! i've got a few wav files which play just fine, but then i had one which i couldn't even locate through the Recorder.

what exactly do i need save the wave file as in order to play it? like, a certain quality, size, etc. and also, is there a way to make these mp3s sound decent or not?

thanks!

What do you mean by what you need to play waves as your ringtone?

You can set waves as your ringtone the same way you sent midis as your ringtones. Just go to profile. And if you're using PC Suite you can easily convert your mp3s to your phone's sound format. Just enable it in the control panel. If you're not... then i'm not quite sure what you could do. Coz i haven't been having any problems with wave files. They've been good to me and all of them i've been able to play on my phone.

And how do you send it to your phone? Make sure that its really in .wav format so that recorder can detect it. Recorder only detects .wav files which are in your sounds/digital directory. Take note of the directory where you sent your files to.

Good luck

i think your mp3 is crap cause u are using mp3player if you use mp3go the quality is better

lars, the quality of an mp3 file doesn't have anything to do with the player(almost).mp3's are crap because the 3650 has mono output.

in a way, both lars and ghostdog are right. mp3player isn't a good player for mp3s. I would recommend mp3go because it will sound better. Otherwise, mp3 files carry their own quality so it has nothing to do with the players. Also, 3650 mono output quality does spoils it.

Anyway, anyone knows if sterea dual earphones does any good?

i was going to give mp3go a... go (hehe) but then i saw that the purchase price is US$45 and gave up. they've gotta be kidding! i've spent too much money on bloody apps and games so far.

thanks for he advice anyway guys.

Definitely not worth that much, considering the terrible quality of the sepaker and mono output.

Yeah i agree. If you would like to play mp3 songs in your phone convert the mp3 files with PC Suite. The quality's almost the same but the file sizes are smaller. A 5mb mp3 can be sized down to 3megs with 3650's converter.

Anyway, its best that you try demos or ask ppl around if its worth buying a specific software or else you might just end up being disappointed - classic example WildSkin :robot:

hmmm.. i have some .wav ringtones on my phone and i converted them to bout 16000KHz - 8bit - Stereo output. the 3650 plays it and it sounds good. the problem is.. it's not that loud...

BatangRiles,you have a 3650 right?You are not limited with space there,so don't be cheap and make those ringtones at least 22Khz 8 bit,mono or 44Khz 😊

You can make them louder by editing the .wav file with Sound Recorder(It comes with any version of windows)or maybe some proffesional music editing program like Sound Forge.

yes i do! the problem is i didn't know what the right specs were to create them .wav ringtones... i thought i could use the same specs like i use to do on my 7650 !! but thanks for the info.. appreciate it..
