We have just released version 3.0.0 of our SMSXtender for Nokia Series 60 phones. It's no longer a Java application but a Symbian native application. It has the following new features:

- Direct access to the phonebook both for selecting the sender and the receiver

- Default country code field that is automatically added in front of the destination numbers

- Drop-down list of recently used destinations and recently used senders

- Remembers the text of the last message so that it can be reused

All current users with Nokia Series 60 phones are encouraged to upgrade to version 3.0.0 (the upgrade is free of charge). The new version can be downloaded at http://www.simeda.com/downloads/smsxtender-3.0.sis

Thank you,
Razvan

Im using the java application, but I have just tried the sis app. .3.1
however, it doesnt work for my 7650..
I have also tried to use my login and pass to a friends of mine 6600, without
success 😞
Im switching again to jar app, but my friends want to use this app too ( 6600s )

Hi, this app looks very intresting, but a couple of things worry me,

1. I will never be able to trust my inbox again.
2.In the UK could this could be classed as deception (a criminal offence) if the user used it to trick someone.

1stly i read all that was above and found it way too much hassle and secondly my friend above is correct you should just have created a symbian version and rather then using your own sms threads or rather used the standards ones used by everyone. but you could hav had the very same features and im sure everyone would have loved it!
great
sorry but just my 2cents worth!
