I'm a happy www.fictionwise.com customer. They have a great selection of short stories of many genre, ranging from established authors (such as Silverberg) to newer authors who are just making their name.

One app you should search for is MAKEDOCW, this is a small utility that reads in text files, and outputs the PRC e-book format. You can make your own books using this. I've a whole bundle of stuff that isn't ancient or sellable that I;ve scanned or obtained myself for backup purposes.

The looks you get when people ask "What's On Your Phone?" and you say "Harry Potter... Look!" is enough to sell the phone.
