Please help (if you can)
I ran a system reset (*#7370#) and my 7650 hung on performing this. I left
if for 10 minutes to try to sort itself out, but then gave up. On turning
the phone off and back on again, I get the message 'Phone start-up failed.
Contact the retailer'
Does anyone know what to do (other than contact the retailer)??
hi
as far as i know if there is a contact service or retailer message in all nokia phones you should bring it back to the nokia care or service center and if ur phone still under warranty just return it
but in the other nokia phone like series 3 and 8 we can use like flasher cable or somekind or cable that connect ur phone and computer and u can upgrade ur software by urself and i dun kno if this works with the 7650 since i'm still waiting till it's available in Australia
Thanks,
I have contacted expansys where I bought the phone, and I am returning the phone so that they can send me a replacement.
I was looking to see if there was a way to 'hard reset' the phone myself, like you can on a communicator by holding down certain keys when powering up - it would have saved me sending the phone away - never mind...
HI
Bit late on this but like all nokia phones it will have bugs and problems (not a nokia phone if it don't have any  ) so as you have done send it back and get a new one, i'm waiting for a few more people to say what bugs there have found on the phone and how quick nokia can get new firmware out,as for upgrading the firmware yourself forget it as the boxes and stuff the do this is way to much at this time for just you own phone and as most will be under warranty for the next year or so it just not worth it.
A great nokia bug on the 8310 is that you go in to the message in or out box and the phone turns off and don't come back on 😮
um... i think when we buy nokia phones we just become a beta tester for nokia but we also paid the device full price 😃 😃
dunno bout sonyericsson
belive me, it's the same about sonyericsson.. 😃
