totaly shit
blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaht
i have no words.

- why isnt photo in big size? i meen size what is in contacts (big photo) WHY SO SMALL ????

- why so big shit terrible photo quality? I have nice photo in contacts (big photo) and in this app isnt this photo. only enlarge small portrait photo

- why so BIG in memory ?????????????

Ivomir,i agree on some points but saying that the app is total s*it?Maybe you can do a better job?

I think that the best option is to use thumbnail images because they are stored in the contacs database, the big image in the image tab of your contact is just link to the image in your album(C:\Nokia\Images)so if you delete the image from the images folder the image in the image tab in you contact will be deleted also. This might be good option for users who keep loads of images on their MMC's but i really doubt that anyone does, also, this is a series 60 app, which means that 7650 owners will buy it and use it.The 7650 doesn't have an MMC slot,so i wouldn't be able to keep loads of useless images even if i wanted to(which i don't).

The photo has bad quality because its just a resized thumbnail.Like i said before,IMHO using a thumbnail image is the best option.

When installed, the app uses 138 KB of your phone's storage.I agree that it could be smaller, but 138 KB is not that bad.

Hi!

Does anyone really get a good quality full screen image? I have tried Full Screen Caller but it does not give me actually full size picture on my Nokia 3650 (firmware 3.13). The picture is only slightly bigger (about 2.5 times) than the default thumbnail that is shown using the original software of Nokia 3650. This slightly bigger picture than thumnail comes in the centre of the skin. The quality and resolution of this picture is quite poor even though the original picture linked to the contact is extremely clear. What could be wrong?

It does not take your full size picture. When you attach a picture to the contact (not the full-size one in the picture tab but the one on the contact tab) it does not actually use the picture you path to but creates a small thumbnail of the picture you want it to use. You can thus actually delete the pic you reffered it to and still have the small pic.

So the problem is that it takes the thumbnail and enlarges it (wich is equivalent to a digital zoom) which produces poor results without powerful filters instead of taking the large pictre in the pic tab and reducing it in size.

Small correction Kiril,Full Screen Caller works with the image(the big one) in the picture tab also.

Hi GhostDog!
In the contacts, I only get an option of adding thmbnail in the editing mode. How does one link a full fledged image, as suggested by you? If I use the image tab that one gets after opening a particular contact, I do see an image tab. I can also add a picture in this tab, and the picture that appears with Full Screen Caller is much better (though not as good as the original image). But then there is a time lag of about 4 to 5 seconds before the picture appears and the ring tone starts playing. What do I do elimante this time lag?? Does this image (added to the contact) get stored in the phone memory? Or is it read from MMC directly?

Baloney!

IF
big file exists, use it
ELSE
use thumbnail
END IF
