Have anybody oficial changes of FW 3.18 or 4.13?
Here in Czech rep. is last FW 4.13

Whats new in 3.18 or 4.13
I've heard of 3.18 (although I don't know any details of the changes) but I've not seen much mention of 4.13 before.

Well YOU don't get the firmware upgrade. You have to have it flashed using some sort of special equipment.

Does anyone know where to get you phone flashed in the USA. I have yet to find a store with the ability.
Also How do you identify your current revision?
To see current firmware, type *#0000* where you'd dial a number to call.

Hmm, Iwonder if these new versions are something to do with language support - Ichecked with a friendly NSCin the UKtoday - they checked the Nokia NSCwebsite which confirmed the latest available for download is still v3.16
Before anyone asks, the download page is only available to NSCs, and not the general public.

DO YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET THE FIRMWARE UPDATED @ NSC'S IN THE U.K? I'VE CURRENTLY GOT V2.50 13-02-2003 NHL-8 BUT I THINK IT'S A BIT "BUGGY". IS 3.16 STILL THE LATEST VERSION? :snipersmile:

It's free if the phone is UK stock, under warranty, and you can back this up with a receipt. Without all of these you cannot guarantee the NSC will not charge.

Although 3.16 fixes a lot of problems, most of them are not relevant to the UK market, and hence I would be surprised if 3.16 magically made your phone that much better. However, you might well find it fixes an obscure problem you are having - I would search the forums for the list of changes to confirm that your problems are actually fixed.
Remember some NSCs will want the phone for 24 hours (plus shipping time each way if you can't deliver and collect) so think carefully before applying the update - oh, and you lose *ALL* data on the phone, so either backup or be prepared to lose everything.
And in the UK, the latest version is still 3.16.

when you said lose *ALL* data did you mean the data on the mmc as well? i've got everything saved to the mmc or sim. if not will the phone (+ new firmware) have any problems retrieving the data from the mmc

It's recommended you do not leave them the MMC (to prevent it getting lost more than anything), so as a result nothing will be removed from it.
However, any apps on the MMC that have also installed parts onto the phone may need reinstalling.
