How can you make ringtones in the 6600 True Tone format?

Can we use wav files for ring tones on the 6600?

Yeah of course you can use wavs! You can also use recorded audio through the microphone! Not sure about MP3's though...

Iv read that true tones ARE wav tones just as songs?!

I think true tones are recorded sounds again, probably amr.
I believe the whole point might be to apply DRM (digital rights management) to recorded sounds, too, just like they've done with MIDI in order to restrict distribution via the phone...
