Hi,
I have at last been able to connect my 3650 to my PC, and successfully send and receive images ect using the BT software (Widcomm)
But the problem i have is with PC Suite, when i open the program it asks me to give the phone a name which i do but then it tells me my "phone is not compatible with the software" !!! but how can that be as i got it with the 3650??!!
Is this an error that anyone else has had or is just me? does anyone know how to get round it? is there an update for PC Suite (if theres not there should)
I have searched the forum for the answer but cant seem to find it,
All help much appreciated,
Iam Running:
Windows XP pro with SP1
Widcomm Bluetooth Dongle
1.3.2.7 Driver
same bluetooth dongle but no problem! cos i dont use pc suit it suxx
i transfer files via bluetooth software and usually use the disl up connection hope find a solution if u can please remind me i am at [email protected]
I have managed to overcome the above problem of the phone not being reconised by re-installing the widcomm drivers and PC Suite, and i can still transfer files to & from the phone, but PC Suite just does not seem to work.
The strange thing is that i had it working yesterday, but when i started my pc today and tried PC suite it starts but it just says not connected in the corner in grey.
I have paired the device, and the bluetooth reconises it as being connected, also the little green and blue plug is there in the corner of my screen so i cannot understand why the PC suite is not working, i have read many of the topics in the forum but still cannot find the answer, i have tried the PC suite version 1.1 aswell but it is the same, I understand there is a newer version than 1.1 but i dont know where to get it cos its not on the Nokia site, anyone know????
also sometimes when i have been trying to get things to work i get a message on the 3650 saying "all bluetooth connections are in use" does anyone know what that is all about???
Some one please help b4 i go MAD!!!
I have spent hours trying 2 sort this. 😞
go look for the latest pc suite and check it out from net for the latest version for your Xp sp1
sometimes checking and unchecking the COM port that mRouter uses to connect to the phone several times makes them see each other.
Just got my bluetooth adaptor, and this method seems to work well for me:
1. In bluetooth places, right click on your device and select Connect Bluetooth serial port.
2. Go into mRouter and tick COM5 (Or what you set up bluetooth serial port as)
3. if it connects, go into pc suite... should work
Yes I have tried that Zero1, and when i go into mRouter I see that
COM 4 is connecting, and i get the blue and green plug showing that it is connecting in my system tray but when i open PC Suit it just says not connected in the corner,
I have also tried Kirill's idea but also to no avail, i read that a firewall can cause problems and i have now uninstalled Zone Alarm but this did not make any difference either.
The only thing i find a bit odd is that when i double click the mRouter icon and see the properties i can see these connections -
CABLE COM1
CABLE COM2
BLUETOOTH COM3
BLUETOOTH COM4
BLUETOOTH COM5
BLUETOOTH COM6
BLUETOOTH COM7
BLUETOOTH COM8
BLUETOOTH COM9
BLUETOOTH COM10
BLUETOOTH COM11
BLUETOOTH COM12
BLUETOOTH COM13
INFARED
can someone tell me if there should be this many bluetooth connections, and if not how do i remove the ones i dont need.
I am also still getting this message on my phone :
"Unable to connect. Max. number of bluetooth connections already in use.
are the two issues connected??
I got that very same problem. I can send file back and forth and mRouter can see that my phone is connected via bluetooth COM8 (oh yes, I have also many bluetooth COM ports and I think it is normal) but still pc suite keeps on saying that phone is not connected...
I've tried pc suite that came along with my 3650 and newer suite from nokia web site (sorry I can't find version numbers - PCsuite won't start up since my "phone is not connected"😉 but it does not make a difference.
Only difference between these two versions is that along with newer PCsuite there came some Nokia Connection Manager. NCM says also that no phone is connected, no matter what I do or try.
This is driving me crazy.
Guest,
that is exactly the same for me word for word, I have now given up trying to get PC Suit to work until i find an answer cos i have spent so much time messing around with the darn program!!!
I am transfering files to and from my 3650 with the widcomm bluetooth software alone and PC Suite uninstalled but i would so like to have PC Suite running so i can manage the phones memory card that much better.
Please post on here if you find the answer and i will do the same.
Sorry Guys, the above post is also from me (Forgot to Log in)
