Hi,

My 3650 recently gone bad and I got a replacement from T-mobile. When I got incoming calls on this new 3650, the number has a 1 infront of it. The displace shows: 1 area code and then the phone number. I am sure my previous phone doesn't contain the 1. Now when people call me, their name doesn't show up anymore because in my contact, their number doesn't contain a 1. Anyone know what to do to make doesn't show the 1. I hate to have to go through everyone of my contact and add a 1 infront of their number. You help is appreciated. Thanks.

that might be because of a new firmware.

if that's the case, than you probably will have to add that 1.. I don't know because here in Portugal, the area code is part of the number, so it always appears...

Do you live in the States. Seems so since the country code for the US is aslo 1 (not just the long distance dialling prefix). Anyhow the proper GSM format for the numbers in the States is +1 XXX YYY YYYY, where XXX is the area code and YYY YYYY is your phone number. Had the numbers been entered this way they would show up properly wether 1 shows up or not. For example here in Russia the country code is 7 but the numbers show up on caller ID with the 8 prefix (long distance prefix) I have all my numbers entered as + 7 .... and they show up properly even though an 8 is displayed.
