NOKIA 3650 - QUITE A BIG PROBLEM - NEED HELP!

I have a big problem with my Nokia 3650. Everything was working fine until the day when something got broken. And the problem is I don't know what.

When I turn on my phone I can just see the Nokia's logo and then the phone goes off... What can be wrong? I'm pretty sure it's not the soft... the battery is fine... :-?

Try booting in safe mode (holding the pencil key while turning your phone on). If that does not work try booting without the MMC card installed. If neither works take your phone to the service center.

Nokia wasn't smart enough to put a hardware rest button on the phone. Some software may crash the OS and under certain conditions, the phone can't start becasue of that. Your only option is to return to your carrier or send it to a service center.

How Nokia could have designed this phone to handle crashes or bad software so poorly defies logic.

I have quickly discovered that what this phone wants to be and what it is are two completely different things.

It wants to be a palm pc but unfortunately due to its poor design it really can't be anything more than a phone.

In my opinion your seriously risk having to send out your phone to be repaired by doing nothing more than running a buggy program on it. How do you know if a particular piece of software my irreversably crash the phone? You don't which means that to be safe you can't load anything on it which means it's nothing more than a phone that advertises more than it can give.

I personally will not be buying another Nokia/symbian system until it offers a hardware reset button and a more stable version of the Symbian.

Until then, I will use my 3650 "NOT-SO Smart" phone as a regular phone and will avoid buying any third party software for it.

So Nokia lost future sales and so does their third party developers. Do you hear me Nokia? Probably not if they're using a 3650.

Thats a bit harsh, the same could be said for any peice of technology these days.
Your missing out on some very cool features in that case mate.
I'm surprised you actually used your PC to type this message and your not using it as a door stop untill Mr Gates releases an OS that works and does not crash and need patching everyother day to stop hackers getting on your machine etc ..etc..etc..etc..

It's a fact of life, get used to it or miss out - it's not a common problem either, I have had my phone for year now and it's never happened to me and I have installed almost every piece of software there is, most problems are encounterd when the user uses cracked software in my experience, (apart from WildSkins that is just a badly coded program).

I've had that problem twice. The first time, I exchanged my phone for a new one.

The second time, I decided to try and fix it first. It worked, but I don't know how. This is from a posting I made when I had the problem, I hope it works for you:

I was able to start the phone with the memory card removed and the pencil key held down during boot-up. The phone finally started normally, and prompted me for date and time.

I turned it off, replaced the MMC and turned it on... worked perfectly.

@ pbk105: hm, no Hard-Reset Button???? I might be wrong, but my phone has something like a Power Switch, which, at least for me, works quite well as Reset Button!

And: just a comparison: My Phone crashed about two or three times, in the one year I own it.
Show me one PC that can beat that! 😉
(Sorry, no important content in this post, but I just had to say that! 😃)
