I went to the Optus World store in Melbourne, and there are sales reps selling the Nokia 6600 for $899.00 Australian Dollars..
I am going tomorrow to buy one, i thought you may have pre order one, but they have 30 in stock and i can't wait to get one....
I will post pics and Good/Bad reports in a fews days....

You are silly. What you go to buy is a prototype.
BE CAREFUL, the OS in the prototype phones are not quite ready yet!
Look under the battery at the panel, where it should say Nokia6600 it may say PROTO - NOT FOR SALE.
We've had 3 Prototype phones now, all a little better than the last - BUT NOWHERE NEAR COMPLETE!!
Don't buy a prototype ulness you've tried ALL the features first!!

I went past to have a look, and they don't have Prototype under the battery, its says Nokia 6600 and they are the First Retail Release, 100% tested..
I get paid tomorrow, so i will go past and buy one i hope it works with my 512MB MMC card???

Yeh its not as if Optus are going to be selling prototype phones anyway.
Price is pretty good! From what i remember the 3650 was around $800 in most places at its time of release.
I hope its genuine and you'll be posting pics soon 😊.
This makes no sense. A genuine shop would not be permitted to sell a product ahead of the an official release. Nokia would no look kindly on any distributor which did this.
Making sense or not, what I want to know is how much will we have to wait until N6600 is released worldwide. Nokia 3100 was presented at the same time and it's out for a while now...

and they through in a Handsfree, car charger, Leather case too..
If you think i am going to straight away post pics and what i think, you are wrong, i want at least a week to play around with it and test it..

it looks like the release schedule would be the Ngage, then 6220 then 6600...
Ngage is goin to be out on Oct 7 here.

I am surprised you don�t want the whole world to know what you think about the 6600 as you 'are' one of the first to own one.

I think there is no 6600 official sales. The phone is a proto ( if the guy realy bought it) I contacted my friends in Austarlia(Melbourne), Finland and Germany..there is no official sales package, there is no commercial release, only protos in couple of unofficial stores. as here in BG.
So, I think I have to wait till November(this is the unofficialy announced month for the release of N6600 in Bulgaria).
BTW since when Australia get new phones faster than anywhere else in the world
as i'm living in Sydney and the fact is Australia is the lamest and slowest for releasing new phones
except the 3G one 😃
