Nokia 6600 been sold in Australia!!!

Actually try Russia. We get them about 2 months after they are out in Europe. Well actually we get them about a week before but they are grey and uncertified, which means no warranty and no cyrillic text. It takes our authorities about 2 months to get them certified. It takes longer only in the US.

Just because the phone isn't listed on the optus website doesn't mean it's not in their stores. The 3650 was listed long after it was actually released.

I mean hav u compared how long u got 3650 after it has been released in Hong Kong or Singapore or maybe Indonesia.

U meant u r the first with 3650 in Australia it self or in the world ?

Does anyone have the telephone number of the OZ stores, then we can all ring and confirm ourselves.

Don't forget all those forum members who claimed that Expansys was sending them their cut price 6600's a couple of months back. They all decied to take the word of a "guest" poster rather than someone with contacts at Expansys but strangely we've not seen or heard from them since. Everyoen must be really busy with their new phones! 😉

just in case any of you dont know, the first place to get ANY nokia phone is the middle east -> i got my 7650 4 days after first release worlwide when i was in pakistan, as a couple of guys came with a few boxes on an air flight from dubai.

same thing with my 3650, i got it when people here were crying for it in sweden and the UK. 😃

if u think australia is slowest place in the world, hey welcome to canada! i came here a month ago and the 3650 still hasn't been released here! and in the US it was released just a couple of months ago. people look at the phone and ask "whats that crazy thing?". 😊

if nokia releases any sales reports, i'm dead sure that as a % the middle east sells more 'hot-off-the-block' phones than any other place.

just forgot to mention in my previous post, check out ebay for some INSANE deals on 6600s. people are auctioning things that haven't come out yet!

some guys are selling 20-packs of 6600s for as low as $2500. and then ebay pulls their auction off and tells everyone it was a scam 😛

A picture of acsriba holding the phone in front of his/her computer showing the All About Symbian forum (Because there are a lot of pictures floating around the web of people holding the 6600)
