Wayfinder reviews?

Anyone using Wayfinder on their Nokia? I'm interested to see if anyone has written any online reviews of the software.

Also, if anyone is using it, can you confirm whether or not the Bluetooth GPS still allows use of a Bluetooth Headset at the same time (ie can the 3650 handle two concurrent Bluetooth sessions, as the rumours are that the P800 can't).

Steve

my dad does, and he says its wicked. I've used it a couple of times and i find it great as well, the map is great, pinpoint accuracy (to about 1-5 metres) and very useful because of its size. Bit pricey though.

Hi i was just wondering if the Wayfinder is available for the 3650?
Thank you.

WayFinder should work with any Series 60 phone that has Bluetooth.

I've found it useful for those situations where I need it. Biggest problem is with the audio instructions being interrupted, if you have continuous updating/refreshing of the map display on. On the other hand, you don't really need the map at all for driving instructions.

A couple of times it has had errors in the instructions (telling me to turn where there is no road, or the image in the instructions showing a highway ramp being on the right, when it was on the left).

In general it has been accurate and useful, though I don't need it that often.

3650 can only have one BT session open.

Is that view based on testing a BT Serial GPS connection at the same time as a BT Headset connection, or something else?

I'm fairly sure that the 3650 cannot support 2 BT Headset connections at the same time, but that's not the issue here.

I've also spoken to a journalist who says that he knows someone that has managed to make a BT Headset call and the map continued to update, but I don't know if this was on the P800 or on the 3650.

This is based on the fact that when my BT headset had an open connection to the phone I was not able to open a connection with the PC.

Ah, thanks.

This doesn't make the Wayfinder as useful to me, but I'm still keen to read some online reviews.

I can verify (personally tried and tested) that if a Bluetooth connection with a Bluetooth headset is active, the WayFinder software cannot connect to the Bluetooth GPS module.
