Will the 6600 allow you to get online via the PC?
My SPV, if connected to the PC allows you to use the PC's broadband Internet connection to browse sites and download email.
Can the Nokia do the same?
It's a cool feature.

Sure thing. And it's been possible wirelessly with Nokia phones (using Bluetooth through your PC) 6+ months before the SPV first became available.
Cool! Just checking 😉
Which profile does it use to connect? LAP or PAN?
How do you go about setting it up. I've seen a 7650, not a 3650 and I didn't see anywhere in the Menus for creating a Network Access connection.
I have a Belkin Bluetooth Access Point + Print Server and I'd quite like to be able to connect through that.
Well, its more of a hack then a supported profile(For the 7650,3650,p800),I don't if its the same with the 6600 so I doubt it will work with you Belkin Access point.Basically, what you do is,create a dummy BT access point, connect the phone to your PC(via BT of course)and when asked for GPRS connection you select the dummy access point. You can search the 7650 forum for more info.
It would be great if you prove me wrong.
I am trying to connect to my PC via Bluetooth and share it's broadband connection.
I can make the Bluetooth connection OK, but when I try to browse the internet on my devise I just keep getting 'page not found'.
Is the anything special I should know. I'm obviously doing something dumb.
Using a TDK USB Bluetooth adapter.

could 7650 get online via the PC???
how it work ?
only using bluetooth device or by other softwares ??
Thanks in advanced.
Using Bluetooth. Use the Search feature to find old discussions about this.
It's very easy with the 7650, all access point parameters are "empty" and Gateway IP is 0.0.0.0
Is it possible to do the same with the 6600? I did some experimenting, but I did not manage to do it! No Gateway parameter, just proxy! Do we have to install a proxy server on the PC? 😕
Anyone got this working yet? Cant get it to work on my 6600
It doesn't work on the 6600,sorry.
