It is way over the top. The actual price that was anounced by Nokia a few months ago was 299$ (which right now is about 260 euros). But on the other side on n-gage website...

Well its the cheapest symbian smart phone at 299 euros. And you cant do direct conversion between US and EU prices, taxes are bit different. I think 299e is pretty good price for it.
In Germany you can get it for 79 euros with an operator deal.
