just a short questin...should i upgrade to a newer firmware..have 2.50 now....is it worth it.

Well.. you may do it if you wish, just remember to backup your data b4 you flash the ROM.

One word of advise: Patch only if you need to patch. Don't patch if there isn't any hole.

as far as i'm aware there are no significant changes in v3.16 but you will need the latest firmware to install certain applications, such as smart answer.
