Someone knows how to activate it?
I've seen some photos showing it but no one talk about that...

Could you please post the pictures, or tell us where to find them?

Thank you

Uhmm... interesting 😊

Let's start saying that it could even be fake. Nevertheless, it would be very interesting to find something somewhere.

What NG did you find it in? Did they post something else about that? or just the pic?

anyway... I explored almost every single piece of file inside my 7650 with eFileMan, and it seems there is no "built-in" netmonitor app... but I remember having read some months ago about an application that is not bundled with "commercial" 7650s that should be installed, as an "add-on", like any other .SIS file over there

but I didn't find anything else anymore

/me goes back searching eng.field app for 7650 😊

Netmonitor was only put in the test phones and eng's phones, not put in the phones for us lot, so if you find it in your phone lucky you as you have a non release phone.

yes, that's ok... but probably you could just "install" or copy the eng.field app to a "normal" 7650 😉 ... we "only" 😮ops: need to find that app! 😊

Nope as it part of the firmware, unless you know someone at Nokia who can get you the firmware and flash (write) it to the phone, I dont think you will get it on the phone, it not only on this phone it's all the new nokia phones as well 8310,6310 etc........ (which is a real Pain)

lonegunman... since you know so much 😉 do you have (or have access to) a 7650 phone with eng.field? if so, I am quite sure you could find the "eng.field" app somewhere, browsing with a file manager (efileman or seleq), "rip" that off the phone and then upload on another one. Don't you think this could be possible?

Nope it's not possible. Apps like this usually have a ine saying (if I'm not in Flash ROM, don't run). Very simple line of code. I'll call the BOFH at Communicaid tomorrow to try and confirm this.

 ok... so... what does it take to make a "eng.field" application from scratch? 😃

Sorry no I don't and 9/10 the guy's who have this firmware don't give it to anybody as once's it's out on the net then ever one has it (good for us). I will keep you lot informed if anything about the 7650 comes my way 😉

Actually, it's less sinister than that! On most Symbian OS phones the "ROM" chip supports execute-in-place (XIP) which means the code runs directly from the chip without the DLLs, etc. having to be copied into RAM first. This, of course, saves RAM which is always good...it also saves a few KB because during the ROMBUILD process DLL relocation information can be stripped from DLLs because they will always execute from a specific "ROM" address.

So, upside is you can pack marginally more into the firmware and you save RAM at execution time. Downside...you can't copy binaries from the "ROM" and then run them from flash/RAM because they have no relocation information and thus can't be loaded. Try it and you'll get "Not found".

Still finding a way to enable net monitor on 6510... anyone knows??

i think you can enabled the netmonitor for 6510 with the latest version of logo manager

From the main standby screen (Opp. logo etc.) type in the following key sequence.

*#92702689# (Basicly "WAR0ANTY"😉

Let me know what happens (If anything!).
