A few days ago i got drunk with mates and fone got soaked in fire extinguisher fuel.
The fone wouldnt work anymore so i left it to dry for a couple of days.
Everythings working now apart from the buttons are abit dodgy.
You have to press them hard to get them to work.
Bottom buttons are worst.
The all kinda work except the * key.
Is there a way to open up that part of the fone so i can clean it or fix it.
I dont wana send it to a fone shop cos theyl prob delete all the data and take 2-3 weeks to get it back.
i dought any more drying out will work
I suggest you back up your phone and get it replaced I remember a similar thing happened to my 7110 and the button didnt work but slowly everything else dies aswell....

the only problem with sending the phone anyway though, is as it's self inflicted damage on the phone, it invalidates the warranty, i know for sure that they are able to detect water damage as that happened to me with an older phone, but i'm not sure about the stuff in the fire extinguisher.
greetz
Just mention that it happened by accident - I told them I dropped in the loo
another friend of mine didnt even say why his phone wasnt working even though he had got it wet and they were fine about it - if you ahve good enough insurance they will cover accidental damage anyway...

Sent phone away.
Told them the buttons were dodgy.
It took 2weeks to get it back, they didnt do anything to it.
Moisture damage bla bla bla. I dont think they could be arsed fixing it. lazy bastards.
Is there a way i can take it apart and try to clean it out?
There must be a guide on the web.
Do you think they would take out the damaged chip and replace it?
They dont sell the phones anymore so i dont know if they would have the spare parts lying around.
Whats everyone think?
last week dropped phone in tea the buttons that dont work are 3 6 9 and c button all application work phoned nokia service centre chelmsford will cost 20 and will be ready same day for collection will let you know if its fixed taking it monday
Got a new phone battery the other day because i had my battery a year and its battery life only lasted a day or less.
The new battery is not working so great, iv charged it 6-7 times and i have to charge it every day.
Is my phone starting to die like sum1 here said?
im planning on selling it on sumtime soon and get the new sendo, how much you think i should sell it for assumming i get the keypad fixed.
I thought my Battery had died after a year but when I had my phone replaced through insurance I thought damn shame I dont get a new battery as it wasnt even lating a day....
New phone same battery now lasts nearer 2 or three days like normal - so I would think it is defo the phone!
after my tea spill on the phone.. took it in today to nokia centre chelmsford ,told me to go shopping back in half hour phone cleaned and all works well he said i was lucky 25 quid well spent
