Hi,
I can't find a working program to read RSS feeds on my phone. I've tried Friday and the one on the SUN java site, but no way.
I'd be very happy also with the http://www.bloglines.com service, but on Doris Browser and NetFront don't work because of too much redirect pages.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks
Byez
Hi,
I read your post yesterday, and was actually looking for the same thing, so I was hoping somebody else would answer you, for my own sake.
I'm surprised to see nobody has, AAS is usually more responsive, but anyhow, I've done my own prospecting and came up with this
www.winksite.com
See if it answers your question.
If you're interested, I found it by going to bloglines, reading rss news (rss.blog.de) then Lockergnome, and finally to a comment left by Charles from surfarama.com.
There now, everybody credited too.
I've tried this service and it's good. But I need something more flexible and with more news on each page. it seems like this is optimized only for Wap displaying phone... and we know S60 has much bigger screen.
I've also contacted bloglines.com about the issue with our phone, and we're trying to solve it on their side ... hope the best.
Any other ideas meanwhile?
Byez
Hey Klaus any progress?
I've been trying with
1) mark allanson's mreader, http://www.markallanson.net/weblog/
See 23 August. No the July entry that gives you older version confusing calle v1.0 (when the newer is called v1.01).
However, not much luck on my 7650, as yet.
2) also trying via wap with this page, from the Winer stables I think: http://www.blogstreet.com/rssecosystem.html
Still testin 'em ....
:-/
Still no way with mreader, with every feed it reports no news. There is something not working.
I will try with the IMAP rss service in
http://www.blogstreet.com/rssecosystem.html
but I'm really perplexed... I can't belive nobody has come out with a WORKING rss reader for the Symbian platform. I would like to be able to code for this 😞
This is also a request for help. Programmers out there advised 😉

I've used the Blogstree IMAP service and while it's very good I'd recommend their new RSS2Mobile service instead. You can simply append the RSS URL for any feed to their special URL and read the feed in your WAP browser. Terrific solution IMHO.

Thanx! I tried mreader. It is working pretty good for me right now.
You might also want to try RSS Orbit
Otherwise I use my own (web/ wap based) system which parses RSS files, but its not really ready for prime time.

Another good option IMHO is MobileRSS.net which allows you to apply a Nokia template.
