Tracker 3.1 is available to public

i could only think of turning the backlight off permenantly instead of automatic...but then that means turning it on each time which is awkward, 😕

guess someone has made it at last, check the new KI Tracker 3 Skin pack, it looks cool, but anyone tried it?

How does one beam the skin files to the phone via bluetooth? I'm able to do it via email but not bluetooth. I probably don't have bluetooth configured correctly.

Yes, I can do syncronisation via bluetooth as well as simple file transfers, but I can't "beam" files -- which I understand is what's needed to get Tracker 3 to import skins.

Not sure if this is the right approach: if I right click on a file in Windows 2K Explorer and choose Send To>Bluetooth>Other... I get a dialog that looks like should give me a list of available devices but the list is empty.

egads i'd really like to get some skins into this thing..but i don't have infrared, bt, or email connections with my phone. what folder does tracker look for skins in? it'd be nice if, like oggplay, it'd just scan through all the folders for skins.

The skin files (.ztr) are stored in the \system\Apps\Tracker\Skins folder. You can use a PC file manager like the one from Epocware to find this folder when your P800 is connect through the cradle, and then you simply "drag and drop" the skin files (.ztr) to this folder. The skin files will then be automatically recognised in Tracker.

The other way to do it is to simply "drag and drop" the skin files over to your P800 using the bundled P800 PC-Suite software (doubleclick the blue P800 icon on your desktop) when you're connected through the cradle. The skin files will then be stored in the \Media files\document\unfiled folder. Then you just use a file manager in your P800, like the one you get with Tracker or another freeware one, to move the skin files to \system\Apps\Tracker\Skins folder.

if you can perform "simple file transfers" i dont understand why you cant transfer the skin .. transfer it the same way you do any other file and then click Done (not View) on the phone once the file has transferred .. then go into tracker and Import ..

I had tried simply copying the ztr file to the phone but didn't now where to put it. Now that I've seen the recent post about Skins directory it works fine.
