Does not the phone construction seem a little bit toy like/plastic.What i mean is,when the phone is held just below the voice dial/handsfree button and you press it (gently),you can hear those squiking sound implicating that the parts are shifting, allso there is too much backlash when the phone is opened, backlash on the battery lid (I think that standard with nokia phones buy now) etc etc.Is this the same with other 7650's?
Phone construction
yes.. :/
the truth is most of mobile phones made of plastic and all nokia with x-press on are all squeky like a toy
if u want a true phone that not squeky at all and feels great try VERTU and you won't regret it 😃
I must admit that my 9210 doesn't feel all that sturdy either, but to be fair on it, it is very hardwearing.
I think you need one of the Titanium models. Ideal for those that don't like squiking plastic. I'd hate to think what the 7650 would cost if it was made that way.

Thanks for the reply guys,i though that i payed 700 euros for some kind of a 7650 badly done copycat. So knowing that my phone is genuine and badly done makes me feel a lot better 😃
I always found it amazing that manufacturers would skimp 50p-1 per unit onthinning the plastic. I would be quite happy to pay an extra 10 (once the production cost had bubbled up the profit chain) for a thicker and more sturdy machine.
And when I was using the 9000i (while the 9210 was in for repair) I was astounded that the machine felt so uch more sturdier in construction. i guess that each subsequent machine must be cheaper than the last, no matter what.
Pity.
I thought the 9210 was rather well made. Apart from it creeking at the hinge on opening/closing (probably fixable with a dab of light oil) it felt quite solid. Dropped it a few times, but it survived more or less unscathed.
The only thing that was a little poor was the grey rim round the outside. I'll have to take a look at the 9000i sometime, must have been well built. What's its weight buy the way ?

My laptop is made of titanium and has been dropped a fair few times, must say it's nice not to have to worry about things like that, but all the little plastic bits are broken already 😞 In contrast the 9210 has been dropped etc and suffered no damage, although now has some cosmetic damage due to placement in a pocket with my keys (scratches down both sites on the top half and one end of the plastic hinge is now missing)
