But would genuine bought NGAGE games run on the 6600? Same-ish OS etc only control pad is different.
Does the fact that cracked games work mean that I can buy NGAGE games for my 6600 when I get it next week?

I don't think that even cracked games will work.Yes its the same OS although the N-Gage runs an older version of the OS and the UI.I believe that N-Gage games won't run because they have been developed using "special" API's.By special i mean API's not present in the OS or UI running on other Symbian devices.
On the other hand,i might be really wrong!
Cracked games actually works. Or at least SonicN works on 3650 and 6600.

n-gage games do work on the 6600, I was just told by our dealer, i asked him to try if it works and confirmed that it does. i will be buying a n-gage game later today and will let you know the outcome.

yea they do work, but then i dont see y ppl are goin on about it being illegal. if ppl buy and use it i dont see a problem. i have seen a 6600 with an ngage game workin on it.
I don't see a problem running Sonic-N or any other non 3D accelerated game but do you mean I can run TOMB RAIDER in the 6600??
deathmonger,the hardware is the same so unless my wacky "special" API's theory is true and the MMC protection is bypassed,the games should work.
It's illegal because n-gage MMC's will not work on the 6600.The content of the MMC has to be copied and tempered with,cracked in order for the game to work on the 6600 or any other device but the N-Gage.
thts dumb of nokia to do that. but i know this much for sure. no1 will care and they will have all those ngage games on their 3650 & 6600 for sure. they might not say it here but they will 😃. ppl want to use their phones to the max so if they can play 3 d games on their phones i dont see the phones. its more of wht u can make ur phone do.
So let me get this straight if i go and buy sonic N and then use the mmc in my 6600 is it just going to work right off the bat??, or do you have to copy the files onto your pc using a mmc reader and then copy it back down on the original 32 meg card that comes with the phone???

No, it is not going to work right off the bat. Copying them through a PC won't do either.
Discussing illegal ways of doing it is not acceptable here.
Buy an N-Gage or N-Gage QD instead, if you want to play them legally, or stick of with other kinds of Series 60 games for your 6600.
