Hi,
Does anyone know or can recommend the procedure when buying a sim free phone when its going to be used with an Orange simcard.
Like I am guessing as the phone isnt out they wont offer insurance on it, should I tell them that I am using that phone, will they mind?
will they be able to support the same sorts of orange services, like MMS GPRS and eventually accept it...
basically will I suffer in anyway by not being able to get the most out of the handset by doing this? or shall I wait for it to come out on orange.
i have sim free 7650 and i have orange sim and movistar for when in spain i can get mms wap internet not gprs as you have to be contract but the phones fine
You won't "suffer" in any way Pasa. I've got a sim-free 6600 on Orange, and GPRS works fine (thanks to Dan on these forums). Not tried MMS. Have even got it talking to my Ipaq:

And what about things like the new video messaging that Orange are about to bring out will I be able to subscribe to those services...
Course you can. I just had a free month's GPRS put on, no questions asked
Will
Will,
Can you help ? I've just bought a SIM-Free 6600 and everything is fantastic except for the fact that I do not recive any indication that I have new voicemail messages. The litttle spool signal does not po-up and so I am missing messages left for me.
Have you suffered this problem ? Any thoughts on how to rectify it ?
Thanks
RSK
Not sure which network you are on, but I had this problem from Orange before. It was a system fault of theres and it meant I missed some very important vociemails and so missed some important events....they reset it and it got back again.
